2024–25 New York Knicks Season
The 2024–25 New York Knicks season was the 79th season of the franchise in the National Basketball Association (NBA). On March 28, the Knicks clinched a playoff spot following their victory against the 2024–25 Milwaukee Bucks season, Milwaukee Bucks. Marginally improving on last year's record, the Knicks finished the regular season 51–31 and advanced to play the Detroit Pistons in the first round. Thomas Joseph Thibodeau Jr. ( ; born January 17, 1958), nicknamed "Thibs" ( ), is an American basketball coach who was most recently the head coach for the New York Knicks of the National Basketball Association (NBA). The point guard (PG), also called the one or the point, is one of the Basketball positions, five positions in a regulation basketball game. A point guard has perhaps the most specialized role of any position and is usually the shortest player on the court. Point guards are expected to control the pace of the game. Ajay Mitchell (born 25 June 2002) is a Belgian-American basketball player for the Oklahoma City Thunder of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for the UC Santa Barbara Gauchos. He was selected in the 2024 NBA Draft. Mitchell has also played for the Belgium national team.
