2024–25 Danish Superliga
The 2024–25 Danish Superliga (officially the 3F Superliga for sponsorship purposes) was the 35th season of the Danish Superliga. Midtjylland entered the season as the defending champions, having secured the 2023–24 title on the final day. However, Midtjylland were unable to defend their title as they finished the season in second place, one point behind champions Copenhagen. The schedule for the first seven matchdays was released on 7 June 2024, with the opening fixture set for 19 July between AGF and Midtjylland. Following the 17th round of fixtures, between 2 December and 14 February, the league entered a winter break in which no league fixtures were played. Teams Sønderjyske won the 2023–24 Danish 1st Division returning to the Superliga after a two-year stint at the lower division, and AaB made an immediate return to the top flight by finishing second in the 1st Division. The Danish Superliga (, ) is a professional association football league in Denmark and the highest level of the Danish football league system. The league is currently contested by 12 teams each year, with 2 teams relegated. It is the current Danish football championship tournament, and administered by the Divisionsforeningen. The 2023–24 Danish Superliga (officially the 3F Superliga for sponsorship purposes) was the 34th season of the Danish Superliga. It began on 21 July 2023. Teams Vejle Boldklub won the 2022–23 Danish 1st Division and made an immediate return to top flight, while Hvidovre IF secured 2nd place and will play in the first tier division for the first time since 1997. The two teams replaced AC Horsens and AaB, making it the first time since 1986 that AaB would not play in the top tier division. Hybrid Grass
Hybrid grass or reinforced natural grass is a product created by combining natural lawn grass with reinforcing synthetic fibres. It is used for stadiums and training pitches used for association football, rugby, gridiron football and cricket. Reinforced natural grass can also be used for events and concerts. The synthetic fibres incorporated into the rootzone make the grass stronger and more resistant to damage. A first generation of hybrid grass appeared in the 1990s. Grass roots were allowed to intertwine with a mix of soil and synthetic fibres as they grew. Three main methods exist to insert synthetic fibres in the root zone. Vejlby Stadium also known as Pistolero Park () is an association football facility in Risskov, Denmark. It is the home stadium of 3rd Division club VSK Aarhus which is a merger between the former tenants of the stadium, IK Skovbakken and Vejlby IK. Constructed in 1969, it is part of the sports complex, known as Vejlby-Risskov Sports Centre (Danish: Vejlby-Risskov Idrætscenter), owned by Aarhus Municipality. Aarhus Stadium ( Danish: Aarhus Stadion) known for sponsorship reasons as the Ceres Park is an association football stadium in Aarhus, Denmark which has been the home ground of Aarhus Gymnastikforening since the 1920s. Hvidovre Idrætsforening, more commonly known as Hvidovre IF () is a Danish association football club from Hvidovre, Capital Region of Denmark. The club competes in the Danish 1st Division, the second tier of Danish football, and plays its home matches at the Hvidovre Stadion. Odense Boldklub (; also known as Odense BK or the more commonly used OB) is a Danish professional football club based in the city of Odense, in southern Denmark. The club has won three Danish championships and five Danish Cup trophies. OB play in the Danish 1st Division and their home field is Nature Energy Park. OB's clubhouse is located in Ådalen near Odense River. History Early history OB were founded on 12 July 1887 as ''Odense Cricketklub'', with cricket the only sport.
