2024–25 Czech First League
The 2024–25 Czech First League, known as the Chance Liga for sponsorship reasons, is the 32nd season of the Czech Republic's top-tier football for professional clubs since its establishment in 1993. Sparta Prague are the reigning champions. The first half of the season had 19 rounds, starting in July 2024 and finishing in December. The second half commenced in February 2025. The season is expected to end on 25 May 2025 with two extra play-out fixtures on 29 May and 1 June 2025. Format From the start of the 2024–25 season, the league became known as the "Chance Liga" after its new main sponsor, Chance betting office. The general season format is unchanged from last season, the 16 clubs play each other home and away, until the league is split up in championship, play-off and relegation groups. Czech First League
The Czech First League () also known as the Chance Liga for sponsorship reasons, is a professional association football league in the Czech Republic and the highest level of the Czech Republic football league system. Seasons typically run from August to May, most games are played on Saturdays and Sundays with few games played on Fridays. All Chance Liga clubs qualify for the Czech Cup. The history of the Czech football league began with its reorganization for the 1993–94 season following the dissolution of Czechoslovakia and therefore the league became the successor of the Czechoslovak First League, Czechoslovak League. 2018–19 Czech First League
The 2018–19 Czech First League, known as the Fortuna liga for sponsorship reasons, was the 26th season of the Czech Republic's top-tier football league. The defending champions were Viktoria Plzeň, who won their fifth Czech title the previous season. The season was the first with a new league structure in which 16 clubs play each other home and away, until the league is split up into championship, Europa League and relegation groups. Dukla Prague lost seven consecutive games at the start of the season, becoming the first team in the Czech First League to do so. FK Pardubice is a Czech football club located in the city of Pardubice. Since 2020, the club has played in the Czech First League. FK Teplice is a Czech professional football club based in the city of Teplice. The club competes in Czech First League, the top tier of Czech football. The club was founded after World War II in 1945. The club advanced to the Czechoslovak First League in just three years after being founded and played mostly in the First and Second Czechoslovak divisions. FC Hradec Králové is a Czech professional football club based in the city of Hradec Králové. The club, which was founded in 1905, won the Czechoslovak First League in the 1959–60 season. Since 2021, the club has played in the Czech First League.
