2024–25 Azerbaijan Premier League
The 2024–25 Azerbaijan Premier League is the 33rd season of the Azerbaijan Premier League, the highest tier football league of Azerbaijan. On April 27, 2025, in the 32nd round of the Premier League, Qarabağ secured the championship with four rounds remaining after drawing 1–1 against Sabah, thus becoming Premier League champions for the 12th time in their history and for the 4th consecutive time. Azerbaijan Premier League
The Azerbaijan Premier League (), also known as Misli Premyer Liqası for sponsorship reasons, is a professional association football league in Azerbaijan and the highest level of the Azerbaijani football league system. It is contested by twelve clubs. Seasons run from August to May, with teams playing 33 matches each (playing each team in the league three times, twice at home and once away). The Premier League champion secures the right to play in UEFA Champions League first qualifying round. The runner up and the 3rd-place winner secure the right to play in UEFA Europa Conference League starting in second qualifying round. Since 1992, a total of eight clubs have been crowned champions of the Azerbaijani football system. Kapaz PFK (, ), is an Azerbaijani football club based in Ganja, which competes in the Azerbaijan Premier League, the highest tier of Azerbaijan football. The club was founded as Toxucu in 1959. Absheron District () is one of the 66 Administrative divisions of Azerbaijan, districts of Azerbaijan. Located in the east of the country, it belongs to the Absheron-Khizi Economic Region. Tofiq Bahramov Republican Stadium
The Tofiq Bahramov Republican Stadium () is a multi-purpose stadium in Baku, Azerbaijan. It is currently used mostly for football matches. It served as the home ground for the Azerbaijan national football team until they moved to the Baku Olympic Stadium. It holds 31,200 seats making it the second largest stadium in the country. Aghdam
Aghdam () is a town and the nominal capital of the Aghdam District of Azerbaijan. Founded in the 18th century, it was granted city status in 1828 and grew considerably during the Soviet period. Aghdam lies from Stepanakert at the eastern foot of the Karabakh Range, on the outskirts of the Karabakh plain. Before the First Nagorno-Karabakh War, butter, wine and brandy, machine, and silk factories, and an airport and two railway stations functioned there. By 1989, Aghdam had 28,031 inhabitants.
