2023–24 Serbian SuperLiga
The 2023–24 Serbian SuperLiga (known as the Mozzart Bet SuperLiga for sponsorship reasons) is the 18th season of the Serbian SuperLiga, the top Association football, football league of Serbia. Red Star Belgrade, Red Star are the defending champions, having won their ninth SuperLiga and 34th domestic title in the 2022–23 Serbian SuperLiga, previous season. The season was initially scheduled to start on 22 July, but the start was deferred to 29 July 2023 due to a complaint made by FK Kolubara, Kolubara to Court of Arbitration for Sport, CAS regarding points deduction from previous season that had led to their relegation. On 1 May 2024, Red Star Belgrade were crowned champions for the seventh consecutive season following their 2-1 victory over FK TSC, TSC. Serbian SuperLiga
The Serbian Super League (), also known as Mozzart SuperLiga for sponsorship reasons, is a professional association football league in Serbia and the highest level of the Serbian football league system. Contested by 16 clubs, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the Serbian First League. The SuperLiga was formed during the summer of 2005 as the country's top football league competition in Serbia and Montenegro. Since summer 2006 after the secession of Montenegro from Serbia, the league only has had Serbian clubs. Serbian clubs used to compete in the Yugoslav First League. The 2022–23 Serbian First League was the 18th season of the Serbian First League since its establishment. League format The league consisted of 16 teams: seven teams from the previous season, one team relegated from 2021–22 Serbian SuperLiga, five new teams promoted from Serbian League and Novi Sad 1921 who was merged with Proleter Novi Sad.
