Summary

The format of the competition remained the same as the last season - each team plays each other twice in round-robin format after which top half play in Championship round and bottom half in Relegation round Play-offs. Last two teams from Relegation round will be relegated while teams finishing 13th and 14th will play Relegations play-off against teams who finished third and fourth in Serbian First League. One of the changes from the previous season was regarding to the status of foreign players. Teams can still have unlimited number of foreign players with a maximum of 4 fielded at any time. However, from this season on, players who hold citizenship of any of the

member states are no longer treated as a foreign players.
