The 2023–24 Nemzeti Bajnokság III is Hungary's third-level Association football, football competition. Overview Compared to last season, instead of 3 groups of 20 teams, 16 teams will compete in 4 groups. Out of the four group winners, two team will be promoted via promotion play-offs. Nemzeti Bajnokság III
Nemzeti Bajnokság III (''NB III'', ''National Championship III'') is the third tier of Football in Hungary, Hungarian football (from the autumn of 1997 till the spring of 2005, NB III was the fourth tier, the third was NB II). The tier contains 4 groups (northeast, northwest, southeast and southwest) of 16 teams. From NB III, the champions of each group will battle promotion play-off, two teams winning play-off are promoted to the Nemzeti Bajnokság II, NB II. The three lowest teams of each group and two worst 13th place teams are relegated to the first tier of local divisions (''Megyei Bajnokság I, MB I''). From NB II, the four lowest teams are relegated to NB III from 2024–25 season. The 2023–24 Nemzeti Bajnokság II (also known as 2023–24 Merkantil Bank Liga for sponsorship reasons) is Hungary's 73rd season of the Nemzeti Bajnokság II, the second tier of the Hungarian football league system. Futball Club Dunaföldvár is a professional Hungarian football club based in the town of Dunaföldvár, in Tolna County. Founded in 1925, it currently plays in Nemzeti Bajnokság III – Southwest, holding home games at Dunaföldvári Sportpálya. SC Sopron
FC Sopron is a Hungarian football club from the town of Sopron, near the Austrian border. It was founded in 1921 as ''Soproni Postás''. The club's home stadium is Stadion Városi with a capacity of 5,300. History With the beginning of the season 2007/08 Lajos Détári was appointed for being the head coach. After Antonio Righi bought the club Détári was fired (without getting paid for his work) and replaced by now head coach Vincenzo Cosco. In January 2008 their license was withdrawn by the league over unpaid taxes and payments. It was agreed that they would remain in 1. Liga for 2007/08 with 0 points for the season, all points being awarded to their opponents. It finally went to bankruptcy and was dissolved in January 2008. Békéscsaba 1912 Előre is a Hungarian association football, football club from Békéscsaba, Békés. The club was founded in 1912 as ''Előre Munkás Testedző Egyesület''. 2022–23 Megyei Bajnokság I
The 2022–23 Megyei Bajnokság I includes the championships of 20 counties in Hungary. It is the fourth tier of the Hungarian football league system. Bács-Kiskun Kiskunfélegyháza and Bácsalmás were the only team to acquire the NB III license for next season. Bácsalmás was ineligible based on league position and the champion declined the participation before the promotion play-offs for financial reasons.
