2023–24 FIBA Europe Cup
The 2023–24 FIBA Europe Cup was the 9th season of the FIBA Europe Cup, a European basketball competition for clubs launched by FIBA Europe. The season began on 18 October 2023 and ended on 24 April 2024. For this season, the number of teams in regular season was increased from 32 to 40 teams. The finals were contested by German club Niners Chemnitz and Turkish club Bahçeşehir Koleji, with Chemnitz winning their first European and Europe Cup title. Anwil Włocławek were the defending champions, but were eliminated in the regular season. Team allocation A total of 53 teams from 27 of the 50 FIBA Europe member associations were expected to participate in the 2023–24 FIBA Europe Cup season, but finally 51 teams from 27 of the 50 FIBA Europe member associations participated in the competition. FIBA Europe Cup
The FIBA Europe Cup (FEC) is an annual professional club basketball competition organised by FIBA for eligible European clubs. It is FIBA Europe's second level competition. Clubs mainly qualify based on their performance in national leagues and cup competitions, although this is not the sole deciding factor. The winner is decided by a two-legged final. The league was founded in 2015 as a replacement of the FIBA EuroChallenge. History On June 30, 2015, FIBA announced it would start a new league to compete with Euroleague Basketball's EuroCup. The new competition, which replaced FIBA EuroChallenge, was supposed to be open for up to 100 teams to enter. The 2022–23 Israeli Basketball Premier League, for sponsorship reasons Ligat Winner, is the 69th season of the Israeli Basketball Premier League. The league started on 7 October 2022. The Caledonia Gladiators are a Scottish professional basketball club based in East Kilbride, South Lanarkshire and are the only Scotland-based team in Super League Basketball, the top tier of domestic basketball in the United Kingdom. The Norrköping Dolphins are a professional basketball club from Norrköping, Sweden. It plays in the Basketligan, the highest league in Sweden and won the league seven times. Home games of Norrköping are played at the Stadium Arena. History The club was established as Hageby BK () on May 8, 1963, by Åke Björck. Its name was taken from the Hageby district in Norrköping. The men's team made its debut in the Swedish first tier in 1964–65 but were relegated after only one year.
