The 2022–23 EuroLeague Women was the 65th edition of the European women's club basketball championship organized by FIBA Europe, FIBA, and the 26th edition since being rebranded as the EuroLeague Women. Fenerbahçe S.K. (women's basketball), Fenerbahçe won its first championship after defeating Çukurova Basketbol, ÇBK Mersin Yenişehir Bld. 99–60 in the all-Turkish final, having participated in the Final Four nine times to date. 2021–22 EuroLeague Women
The 2021–22 EuroLeague Women was the 64th edition of the European women's club basketball championship organized by FIBA Europe, FIBA, and the 26th edition since being rebranded as the EuroLeague Women. In February 2022, the Russian teams (UMMC Ekaterinburg, Dynamo Kursk, and MBA Moscow) were expelled from the tournament by FIBA for the Euroleague Women playoffs, and suspended, due to 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine, Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Sopron Basket won its first-ever championship after defeating Fenerbahçe S.K. (women's basketball), Fenerbahçe in the final of the Final Four. Botaş SK
Botaş SK is a sports club based in Ankara. The major branch of the club is the women's basketball, currently performing at the Women's Basketball Super League, Turkish Women's Basketball Super League. The club also competes in Athletics (sport), athletics. Botaş is the first Turkish club to play a final game in European women's basketball. 2021–22 Women's Basketball Super League
The 2021–22 Women's Basketball Super League () was the 42nd edition of the top-tier level professional women's basketball league in Turkey. Teams Adana Basketbol and Canik Belediyespor finished the 2020–21 regular season in the last two places and were relegated to the Second League (TKBL). In May 2021, Bursa Büyükşehir Belediyespor as the regular season champion and Antalya 07 Basketbol as the play-off winner, were promoted to the Super League. Sopron Basket
Sopron Basket is a Hungary, Hungarian professional women's basketball club from Sopron. Founded in 1921 as the women's section of Soproni Vasutas Sportegylet, Soproni VSE, it has played in the Hungarian national championship for women's, Hungarian National Championship since 1986. It plays its home games in the Aréna Sopron. Sopron won its first-ever EuroLeague championship in 2021–22 EuroLeague Women, 2022. Sopron won its first national championship in 1993, making its debut in the EuroLeague Women, Euroleague the following season. Settled in the top positions, the team played in subsequent years the Ronchetti Cup, which it won in 1998 beating ASPTT Aix-en-Provence. As of 2011 Sopron remains the only Hungarian women's basketball team that has won an international competition since the fall of People's Republic of Hungary, communism. The following year Sopron won its second championship, which marked its return to the Euroleague, which it has played every year since.
