IFK Göteborg
Idrottsföreningen Kamraterna Göteborg (officially IFK Göteborg Fotboll), commonly known as IFK Göteborg, IFK (especially locally) or Blåvitt, is a Swedish professional Football team, football club based in Gothenburg. Founded in 1904, it is the only club in the Nordic countries that has won one of the main UEFA competitions, having won the UEFA Europa League, UEFA Cup in both 1981–82 UEFA Cup, 1982 and 1986–87 UEFA Cup, 1987. IFK is affiliated with Göteborgs Fotbollförbund and play their home games at Gamla Ullevi. The club colours are blue and white, colours shared both with the sports society which the club originated from, Idrottsföreningen Kamraterna, and with the coat of arms of Gothenburg, coat of arms of the city of Gothenburg. Sebastian Eriksson
Sebastian Anders Fredrik Eriksson (born 31 January 1989) is a Swedish former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. He represented IFK Göteborg in Allsvenskan for a majority of his career, but has also played for Cagliari and Genoa in Serie A as well as Panetolikos in Super League Greece. Club career On 23 January 2020, Eriksson joined Italian club Genoa. On 24 August 2020, he returned to IFK Göteborg for a fourth stay. He left the club after the 2023 season, and announced his retirement on 28 February 2024. International career Eriksson earned seven international caps for Sweden, starting with a 1–0 friendly away win against Oman on 20 January 2010. He also represented Sweden in a tour in South Africa in January 2011, as well as in the Cyprus International Tournament in February the same year. His final two caps came in January 2016. Simon Thern
Johan Simon Thern (born 18 September 1992) is a Swedish professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for the Allsvenskan club IFK Värnamo. Starting off his career with IFK Värnamo in 2008, he went on to represent Helsingborgs IF, Malmö FF, Heerenveen, AIK, IFK Norrköping, and IFK Göteborg before returning to IFK Värnamo in 2023. A full international since 2012, he has won four caps and scored two goals for the Sweden national team. Club career Early career Thern started his professional career in IFK Värnamo. He was soon signed by Allsvenskan club Helsingborgs IF but was immediately loaned to Värnamo for the entire 2010 season. Thern made his Allsvenskan debut for Helsingborg in the home fixture against Syrianska FC on 22 April 2011. He made his debut in the starting eleven against Djurgårdens IF away on 4 July 2011.
