IFK Göteborg
Idrottsföreningen Kamraterna Göteborg (officially IFK Göteborg Fotboll), commonly known as IFK Göteborg, IFK (especially locally) or Blåvitt, is a Swedish professional Football team, football club based in Gothenburg. Founded in 1904, it is the only club in the Nordic countries that has won one of the main UEFA competitions, having won the UEFA Europa League, UEFA Cup in both 1981–82 UEFA Cup, 1982 and 1986–87 UEFA Cup, 1987. IFK is affiliated with Göteborgs Fotbollförbund and play their home games at Gamla Ullevi. The club colours are blue and white, colours shared both with the sports society which the club originated from, Idrottsföreningen Kamraterna, and with the coat of arms of Gothenburg, coat of arms of the city of Gothenburg. Gamla Ullevi
Gamla Ullevi (, ) is a association football, football stadium in Gothenburg, Sweden, that opened on 5 April 2009. The stadium replaced the city's previous main football stadium, also called Gamla Ullevi (1916), Gamla Ullevi, and is the home ground of GAIS, IFK Göteborg and Örgryte IS. It is also the national stadium for the Sweden women's national football team. The new stadium was built on the ground of the now-demolished old stadium. The construction of the stadium was surrounded by controversy, regarding the cost of the project, the alleged low standard of the finished stadium, as well as its name. The first competitive match at the stadium on 5 April 2009 was also an 2009 Allsvenskan, Allsvenskan derby between Örgryte IS and GAIS, attracting 17,531 spectators. GAIS won, 5–1. Sándor Bródy (footballer)
Sándor Bródy (15 August 1884 – 19 April 1944) was a Jewish- Hungarian football (soccer) player. He competed for Hungary at the 1912 Olympics and was a star in the national side. His first appearance in Ferencvaros was in 1902 and he played in the starting lineup until 1914. He took part in the First World War in the Austro-Hungarian army, and in March 1915 he was captured by the Russian Army in the Polish city of PrzemyÅ›l and spent the rest of the war in the Russian prison camp at Berezovka on the river Ob in Siberia. He played in 17 matches for the Hungary national side and scored once (1906–1913). Later he worked as a coach for Swedish side IFK Goteborg (1921–1923) and for his former club, Ferencváros (1937). Boldklubben af 1893, commonly referred to as B.93, is a football club based in Østerbro, Copenhagen, Denmark. The team competes in the Danish 1st Division, the second level of the Danish football league system, after achieving promotion in the 2022–23 season. Örgryte Idrottssällskap, commonly referred to as Örgryte IS, Örgryte () or (especially locally) ÖIS or Öis, is a Swedish sports club based in Gothenburg. It consists of four departments, namely bowling, football, athletics and wrestling. However, the club is best known for its football department. The club was founded in 1887 which makes it the oldest active sports club in the country.
