2022 Budapest Open – Singles
This is the first edition of the event as a WTA 125 tournament. It was part of the ITF Women's Circuit from 2016 to 2018. Viktória Kužmová was the champion when the event was last held in 2018, but lost in the first round of qualifying to Amarissa Kiara Tóth. Tamara Korpatsch won the title, defeating Viktoriya Tomova in the final, 7–6(7–3), 6–7(4–7), 6–0. Tamara Korpatsch
Tamara Korpatsch (born 12 May 1995) is a German tennis player. She has a career-high singles WTA ranking of No. 71, achieved on 23 October 2023, and doubles ranking of No. 290, achieved on 21 October 2024. Korpatsch owns one singles title on the WTA Tour. She has also won one singles title on WTA Challenger Tour and eleven singles titles on the ITF Circuit. Irina Maria Bara (born 18 March 1995) is a professional tennis player from Romania. She has a career-high singles ranking of world No. 104, achieved on 18 April 2022.
