2021 Finnish Cup
The 2021 Finnish Cup is the 67th season of the Finnish Cup football competition. Until the 2017–2018 season, the tournament was held in the autumn-spring schedule from July to September of the following year. The introduction of this new format of the contest meant that the League Cup was suspended. The winner of the Finnish Cup qualifies for the 2022–23 UEFA Europa Conference League. Teams Group stage The teams participating in the group stage were the teams of Veikkausliiga and Ykkönen. The group stage was played in February 2021 with teams divided into 6 divisional groups, three groups with Veikkausliiga and three groups with Ykkönen teams. The winners of the Veikkausliiga groups qualify for the quarter-finals, the second teams of these groups will play the playoffs. KuPS Kuopio
Kuopion Palloseura, commonly referred to as KuPS, is a Finnish professional football club based in Kuopio. KuPS competes in Veikkausliiga, the top flight of Finnish football. The team plays its home matches at Kuopio Football Stadium. KuPS has won the Finnish championship title seven times, the Finnish Cup five times and the Finnish League Cup once. FC Haka, originally ''Valkeakosken Haka'', commonly known as Haka, is a Finnish professional football club based in the industrial town of Valkeakoski. Musan Salama
Musan Salama (), commonly abbreviated MuSa, is a Association football, football club based in Pori, Finland, playing in the Finnish fifth tier Kolmonen as of the 2024 season. It was founded in 1960 in the Musa (Pori), Musa suburb of Pori as a football and ice hockey club. The ice hockey section was continued by the Porin Kiekko-Salamat after 1972. Turun Palloseura, commonly known as TPS, is a professional association football, football club based in Turku, Finland. Since 2024, the men's team competes in Ykkösliiga, the second highest tier. Ekenäs IF
Ekenäs Idrottsförening (abbreviated EIF or Ekenäs IF) is a sports club from Ekenäs, Raseborg in Finland. EIF was formed in 1905 and they are one of the oldest clubs in the south-west of Finland. The men's football first team currently plays in the Ykkösliiga, after the relegation from the Veikkausliiga in 2024. Their home ground is at the Ekenäs Sparbank Arena, formerly known as "Ekenäs Centrumplan" in Ekenäs. The Chairman of EIF is Peter Haglund. PK-35 Vantaa (men)
PK-35 Vantaa (previously Pallokerho-35 or PK-35) was a Finnish men's football team, based in Vantaa. It last played in the Veikkausliiga, the top-tier men's football league in Finland. The team was based at the Myyrmäen jalkapallostadion in the Myyrmäki district of Vantaa at the time of its dissolution, after the 2016 season. The Helsinki-based PK-35 is the club's first team and currently competes in the new second-tier Ykkösliiga, starting in 2024. History PK-35 was founded in Vyborg in 1935. After the Finnish Winter War and Second World War, PK-35 was refounded in Helsinki in 1948. When PK-35 was coached by Pasi Rautiainen in the mid-1990s they were promoted to Finland's top division, the Veikkausliiga. JIPPO
Jippo (stylised as JIPPO 2001–2024) is a Finnish football club, based in Joensuu. It plays in the Ykkösliiga, the second highest level of Finnish football. Jippo plays its home matches at Mehtimäki, Joensuu. History JIPPO was formed in 2001 after the merger of JiiPee and Ratanat – both playing in the Kakkonen (third level), the division Jippo played its first four seasons from 2002 to 2005. Klubi 04
Klubi 04 is a Finnish football club based in Helsinki. It is the reserve team of HJK Helsinki for whom a number of the players are also registered. History Klubi 04 was founded in 2004 when HJK bought FC Jokerit. Initially Klubi 04 played in Kakkonen, the third highest league level in Finland. Klubi 04 was promoted to Ykkönen in 2006 when it beat FC Inter's reserve team VG-62. Mikkelin Palloilijat
Mikkelin Palloilijat (or MP) is a Finnish professional football club, based in Mikkeli, that competes in the Ykkönen, the third tier in Finnish football league system. The club was founded in 1929 and also included volleyball, bandy and ice hockey sections. History In 1998, MP merged with Mikkelin Kissat to form FC Mikkeli. Due to financial difficulties, this union was dissolved in 2001 and the two clubs returned to manage individually. It played in the Finnish First Division (''Ykkönen'') from 2004 to 2006 but was relegated to Kakkonen at the end of the season.
