2020–21 Croatian First Football League
The 2020–21 Croatian First Football League (officially Hrvatski Telekom Prva liga for sponsorship reasons) was the 30th season of the Croatian First Football League, the top national championship for men's association football teams in Croatia, since its establishment in 1992. The season started on 14 August 2020 and finished on 22 May 2021. The season began with games being played Behind closed doors (sport), behind closed doors due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Teams On 20 May 2020, Croatian Football Federation announced that the first stage of licensing procedure for 2020–21 season was complete. ŽNK Split
ŽNK Split is a Croatian professional women's association football club based in Split, Croatia, Split. The club was founded in 2009 and it currently competes in the Croatian Women's First Football League, Croatian First Division. The club is the successor of ŽNK 8. mart, the first women's football club in Split, which was founded in 1971. Split won the 2018–19 Croatian Women's First Football League title on the final day of the season with a 3–3 draw against 22-time champion ŽNK Osijek. Split then made it a league and cup double with a 1–0 win over Osijek in the Cup final. Zagreb

Stadion Maksimir
Maksimir Stadium (, ) is a multi-use stadium in Zagreb, Zagreb, Croatia. Named after the surrounding neighbourhood of Maksimir, it is one of the List of football stadiums in Croatia, largest stadiums in the country with a current seating capacity of 25,912 and a maximum possible capacity of 35,423. It is the home stadium of Croatian club GNK Dinamo Zagreb, Dinamo Zagreb and has been used since 1990 by the Croatia national football team for the majority of international competitions. Built in 1912, the stadium underwent renovations in 1948, 1998, and 2011. Its facilities can be converted into a concert stage which has been used to host musical acts. Josip Brekalo
Josip Brekalo (; born 23 June 1998) is a Croatian professional footballer who plays as a winger for Turkish club Kasımpaşa, on loan from Italian club Fiorentina. Club career Brekalo is a youth exponent from Dinamo Zagreb. He made his league debut on 19 December 2015 against Inter Zaprešić. On 15 May 2016 he signed for Bundesliga club VfL Wolfsburg for €10 million. On 31 January 2017, Brekalo was loaned out to VfB Stuttgart until the end of the season with an option for a further year. The loan deal was initially automatically extended until June 2018 when Stuttgart secured promotion. Dejan Lovren
Dejan Lovren (; born 5 July 1989) is a Croatian professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for Super League Greece club PAOK. Lovren began his career at Dinamo Zagreb before moving to Lyon in January 2010. He spent three and a half seasons with the Ligue 1 team and won the 2012 Coupe de France before he signed for Southampton in 2013. After one season with Southampton, he joined Liverpool for £20 million. He went on to make 185 appearances for the club, winning the UEFA Champions League in 2019 and the Premier League in 2020, before joining Russian champions Zenit Saint Petersburg in July 2020. Bruno Petković
Bruno Petković (; born 16 September 1994) is a Croatian professional footballer who plays as a forward for the Croatia national team. At club level, he last played for HNL club Dinamo Zagreb. Early career Petković was born in Metković, Croatia. His father Jakov Petković hails from Metković and his mother Ruža Nižić is a Herzegovinian Croat from Crveni Grm near Ljubuški. The Estádio do Dragão (; ') is an all-seater football stadium in Porto, Portugal, and the home ground of FC Porto since 2003. It has a seating capacity of 50,033, making it the third-largest football stadium in Portugal. 2020–21 UEFA Nations League A
The 2020–21 UEFA Nations League A was the top division of the 2020–21 edition of the UEFA Nations League, the second season of the international football competition involving the men's national teams of the 55 member associations of UEFA. League A culminated with the Nations League Finals in October 2021 to determine the champions of the competition. Portugal were the defending champions, having won the inaugural 2019 finals. However, they failed to qualify for the 2021 finals after finishing second in their group behind France. None of the teams that had qualified for the previous UEFA Nations League Finals qualified for the 2021 edition. France won the final 2–1 against Spain for their first UEFA Nations League title.
