2018–19 Challenge Tour
The Q Tour, Challenge Tour 2018/2019 was a series of snooker tournaments that took place during the 2018–19 snooker season, 2018–19 season. It was a second-tier tour for players not on the main World Snooker Tour. The top two players in the final rankings earned a two-year card to the World Snooker Tour for 2019–20 snooker season, 2019–20. Brandon Sargeant was certain of his place in the top two even before the final event. Prior to the draw for the final event, Sargeant led the rankings and only David Grace (snooker player), David Grace and Mitchell Mann could catch him. Sargeant could only drop to third if both Grace and Mann reached the final. However, when Grace and Mann were drawn in the same half of the draw, Sargeant was guaranteed his place in the top two. Arena Riga
Xiaomi Arena, formerly known as Arena Riga () is an indoor arena in Riga, Latvia. It is primarily used for ice hockey, basketball and concerts. Arena Riga holds a maximum of 14,500 and was opened on 15 February 2006. It was built to be used as one of the venues for the 2006 IIHF World Championship, the other being Skonto Arena. The arena was designed by the Canadian company Stadium Consultants International ( SCI Architects) and Latvian firms SIA Merks and SIA Nams. In 2025, as part of a partnership agreement between Arena Riga's management and Chinese electronics company Xiaomi, the arena was rebranded as the Xiaomi Arena as part of a naming rights deal. Jenson Kendrick
The 2022 Q School was a series of five snooker tournaments held at the start of the 2022–23 snooker season. An event for amateur players, it served as a qualification event for a place on the professional World Snooker Tour for the following two seasons. The events took place in May and June 2022 at the Ponds Forge International Sports Centre in Sheffield, England and also at the Royal Bangkok Sports Club in Bangkok, Thailand with a total 16 players qualifying via the five tournaments. The three events held in England were organised by the World Snooker Tour, whilst those in Thailand were organised by the Billiard Sports Association of Thailand. Joel Walker (snooker Player)
Joel Walker (born 16 March 1994) is an English former professional snooker player. In 2010 he won the Rileys Future Stars competition and turned professional in 2012 through Q School. Career Amateur years In 2010 Walker won Rileys Future Stars competition, and won £5,000 and coaching sessions with Ronnie O'Sullivan. The same year he was invited to compete in the World Open. He defeated Julian Logue 3–1 in the first qualifying round, but lost 1–3 against Tony Drago in the next round. Walker also competed at the Players Tour Championship, with his best result coming at the fourth event in Sheffield, where he reached the last 64 and lost 0–4 against Robert Milkins. The Barnsley Metrodome (Metrodome Leisure Complex) is a sports and leisure facility that was opened in 1989 by Neil Kinnock. Ben Hancorn
Ben Hancorn (born 24 May 1982) is an English former professional snooker player. He played on the World Snooker Tour from 2020 to 2022. In 2023, he was a semi-finalist of the World Seniors Snooker Championship. Career In 2008, Hancorn was the runner up in the English Amateur Championship, losing the final to David Grace. Following this defeat Hancorn stopped playing snooker for a near 10-year hiatus before taking part again in the Challenge Tour. In February 2020, Hancorn overcame Rory McLeod 5–3 in the final of the English Amateur Championship at the Centaur Arena in Cheltenham. Dylan Emery (born 31 March 2001) is a Welsh professional snooker player. Career The winner of the 2021 EBSA European Under-21 Snooker Championships, he defeated Julien Leclercq in the final, 5–2.
