2018–19 Biathlon World Cup
The 2018–19 Biathlon World Cup (BWC) was a multi-race series over a season of biathlon, organised by the International Biathlon Union. The season started on 2 December 2018 in Pokljuka, Slovenia and ended on 24 March 2019 in Oslo Holmenkollen, Norway. Yuliya Zhuravok
Yuliya Zhuravok (born in Khoten, Sumy Oblast, Ukraine, on 10 November 1994) is a Ukrainian former biathlete. She became junior world champion in 2015, and represented Ukraine twice at the Biathlon World Championships: in 2015 in Kontiolahti and 2019 in Östersund. She also competed at the 2012 Winter Youth Olympics in Innsbruck, Austria, where she was 18th in sprint and 8th in pursuit. Her best World Cup finish was 10th in the individual race in Östersund during the 2016–17 season. Anastasiya Vladimirovna Kuzmina (, ; née Shipulina; born 28 August 1984) is a Russian-born Slovak biathlete. Career Kuzmina represented Slovakia from December 2008 and won the silver medal two months later in mass start at the 2009 Biathlon World Championships in Pyeongchang. Franziska Preuß (also spelled Preuss, born 11 March 1994) is a German biathlete and the World Cup winner of the 2024–25 season. She made her World Cup debut during the 2013–14 season and represented Germany at the 2014, 2018 and 2022 Winter Olympics. Marte Olsbu Røiseland (born 7 December 1990) is a former Norwegian Biathlon, biathlete and 3 time 2018 Winter Olympics, Winter Olympic gold medalist. Vanessa Hinz (born 24 March 1992) is a former German biathlete and cross-country skier. Hinz started in her first world cup races at the end of the 2012/13-season. Laura Dahlmeier
Laura Dahlmeier (; born 22 August 1993) is a retired German biathlete. Dahlmeier started in her first world cup races in the 2012/13 season. In 2014, she participated in the Winter Olympics in Sochi. She won a record of five gold medals at the World Championships of 2017. In 2018 she became the first woman to win the biathlon sprint and pursuit in the same Olympics. During her career she has won a total of two golds and one bronze at the Olympics, seven gold medals, three silver medals and five bronze medals at World Championships, one overall World Cup and two discipline World Cup titles. Dahlmeier announced her retirement from competition in May 2019, at the age of 25. In October 2019, she released a children's book.
