The 2018 Mallorca Open was a women's tennis tournament played on grass courts. It was the 3rd edition of the Mallorca Open, and part of the International category of the 2018 WTA Tour. It took place at Santa Ponsa Tennis Club in Mallorca, Spain, from 18 June through 24 June 2018. Tatjana Maria won the singles title. WTA International Tournaments
The WTA International tournaments was a category for tennis tournaments of the Women's Tennis Association from the 2009 WTA Tour until 2020, which replaced the previous Tier III and Tier IV categories. As of 2021 these events have been reclassified as WTA 250 tournaments. The winner of a WTA 250 tournament adds 250 points to her WTA ranking. For the 2025 WTA Tour, 2025 season, there were 20 WTA 250, all knock-out tournaments with a prize money for every event at $275,094. Danielle Rose Collins (born December 13, 1993) is an American professional tennis player. She has reached career-high WTA rankings of world No. 7 in singles and No. 79 in doubles. Collins has won four singles titles, including a WTA 1000 title at the 2024 Miami Open, and one doubles title. She contested a major singles final at the 2022 Australian Open. Collins played collegiate tennis at the University of Virginia and won the NCAA singles title twice, during her sophomore and senior years in 2014 and 2016. Rebecca Peterson
Rebecca Peterson (born 6 August 1995) is a Swedish professional tennis player. She has been WTA rankings, ranked as high as world No. 43 in singles and No. 87 in doubles by the Women's Tennis Association, WTA. Peterson has reached three singles finals on the WTA Tour, winning two of them. She has also reached one WTA Tour doubles final in 2015, in which she also succeeded to win the title. Johanna Larsson (; born 17 August 1988) is a Swedish former tennis player. In her career, she won two singles and 14 doubles titles on the WTA Tour, with 13 singles and 17 doubles titles on the ITF Women's Circuit. Francesca Schiavone (; born 23 June 1980) is an Italian former professional tennis player. She had career-high rankings of world No. 4 in women's singles and No. 8 in women's doubles by the Women's Tennis Association (WTA). Schiavone won eight WTA Tour-level singles titles, including a major at the 2010 French Open, the first Italian woman to win a singles major. Lara Arruabarrena Vecino (; born 20 March 1992) is a former professional tennis player from Spain. On 3 July 2017, she reached a career-high WTA singles ranking of 52, and her best doubles ranking is world No. 28, set on 22 February 2016.
