2017–18 Inter Milan Season
The 2017–18 season was Football Club Internazionale Milano's 109th in existence and 102nd consecutive season in the top flight of Italian football. The side competed only in domestic tournaments; Serie A and the Coppa Italia. On 20 May 2018, the final game of the season, Inter beat Lazio 3–2 at the Stadio Olimpico to qualify for the UEFA Champions League for the first time in six seasons. Football Club Internazionale Milano, commonly referred to as Internazionale () or simply Inter, and colloquially known as Inter Milan in English-speaking countries, is an Italian professional Association football, football List of football clubs in Italy, club based in Milan, Lombardy. Samir Handanović
Samir Handanović (born 14 July 1984) is a Slovenian former professional Association football, footballer who played as a Goalkeeper (association football), goalkeeper. Since August 2024, he is the head coach of Inter Milan's Inter Milan Youth Sector, under-17 team. Before moving to Italy, Handanović played in his home country of Slovenia. In 2004, he was acquired by Udinese Calcio, Udinese but spent the next few years on loan, playing for teams such as Treviso F.B.C. 1993, Treviso, S.S. Lazio, Lazio and Rimini Calcio F.C., Rimini. Handanović returned to Udinese ahead of the 2007–08 season, where he played as a starter for the next five years. In the next season, he also played European football for the first time, making his debut in UEFA Cup. Danilo D'Ambrosio
Danilo d'Ambrosio (born 9 September 1988) is an Italian professional footballer who plays as a centre-back or right-back. Club career Early career Born in Naples, D'Ambrosio began playing for local Campania side Salernitana. However, the club went bankrupt and he, along with his brother Dario, joined the Fiorentina youth team in 2005. He was part of the Fiorentina primavera until December 2007, but on 8 January 2008 he was sold to Serie C1 side Potenza on a co-ownership agreement.
