2017–18 Inter Milan Season
The 2017–18 season was Football Club Internazionale Milano's 109th in existence and 102nd consecutive season in the top flight of Italian football. The side competed only in domestic tournaments; Serie A and the Coppa Italia. On 20 May 2018, the final game of the season, Inter beat Lazio 3–2 at the Stadio Olimpico to qualify for the UEFA Champions League for the first time in six seasons. Samir Handanović
Samir Handanović (born 14 July 1984) is a Slovenian former professional Association football, footballer who played as a Goalkeeper (association football), goalkeeper. Since August 2024, he is the head coach of Inter Milan's Inter Milan Youth Sector, under-17 team. Before moving to Italy, Handanović played in his home country of Slovenia. In 2004, he was acquired by Udinese Calcio, Udinese but spent the next few years on loan, playing for teams such as Treviso F.B.C. 1993, Treviso, S.S. Lazio, Lazio and Rimini Calcio F.C., Rimini. Handanović returned to Udinese ahead of the 2007–08 season, where he played as a starter for the next five years. Danilo D'Ambrosio
Danilo d'Ambrosio (born 9 September 1988) is an Italian professional footballer who plays as a centre-back or right-back. Club career Early career Born in Naples, D'Ambrosio began playing for local Campania side Salernitana. However, the club went bankrupt and he, along with his brother Dario, joined the Fiorentina youth team in 2005. He was part of the Fiorentina primavera until December 2007, but on 8 January 2008 he was sold to Serie C1 side Potenza on a co-ownership agreement. Dalbert Henrique Chagas Estevão (born 8 September 1993), known as Dalbert, is a Brazilian professional football player who plays as a left-back or left wing-back for Campeonato Brasileiro Série B club Sport. João Miranda de Souza Filho (born 7 September 1984), known as Miranda, is a Brazilian former professional association football, footballer who played as a centre-back. Having begun his career at Coritiba Foot Ball Club, Coritiba, Miranda spent the 2005–06 season with FC Sochaux-Montbéliard, Sochaux in France before going to Brazil to play for São Paulo FC, São Paulo. He won three consecutive Campeonato Brasileiro Série A titles, and was named in the Prêmio Craque do Brasileirão, Team of the Year four consecutive times from 2007 to 2010. Davide Santon
Davide Santon (; born 2 January 1991) is an Italian former professional footballer who played as a left wing-back. A former Inter Milan youth product, Santon began his professional club career with Inter in 2008, and remained with the club until 2011, aside from a spell on loan with Cesena. He later had a four-year spell with English club Newcastle United, before returning to Inter in 2015. After three seasons, he signed with Roma. After emerging through the youth ranks at Inter Milan, Santon was considered among the most promising young fullbacks in world football. Andrea Ranocchia (; born 16 February 1988) is an Italian former professional footballer who played as a defender. Club career Early career Born in Assisi in the province of Perugia, Ranocchia started his career at Perugia then in Arezzo. Ranocchia played for Arezzo's Primavera team in 2005–06 season. He made his professional debut with the Arezzo senior side in Serie B under manager Antonio Conte during the 2006–07 season.
