2017–18 Indian Super League
The 2017–18 Indian Super League season was the fourth season of the Indian Super League, one of the top Indian professional association football, football leagues. It was established in 2013. The regular season started on 17 November 2017 and ended on 4 March 2018, 2017–18 Indian Super League finals, The finals began on 7 March 2018, concluding with 2018 Indian Super League Final, the final on 17 March 2018. ATK (football club), ATK were the defending champions from the 2016 Indian Super League season, 2016 season, however they could not advance to the playoffs. Chennaiyin FC, Chennaiyin won their second Indian Super League title by defeating Bengaluru FC, Bengaluru 3–2 in the final. Indian Super League
The Indian Super League (ISL) is a professional association football league in India and the highest level of the Indian football league system. Administered by the All India Football Federation (AIFF) and its commercial partner Football Sports Development Limited (FSDL), the league is currently contested by 14 clubs. The season runs from September to March and includes a 26-round Season (sports)#Regular season, regular season followed by Indian Super League playoffs, playoffs involving the top six teams, culminating with the #Championships, ISL Final to determine the ISL Cup winners. 2018–19 Indian Super League
The 2018–19 Indian Super League season was the fifth season of the Indian Super League, one of the top Indian professional football leagues. It was established in 2013. The regular season began on 29 September 2018 and concluded on 17 March 2019. The league took a mid-season break for around one month from 17 December 2018 to early January 2019 due to India's participation in the 2019 AFC Asian Cup. Chennaiyin were the defending champions, having defeated Bengaluru in the 2018 final, however they did not qualify for the playoffs having finished the last in the regular season. Bengaluru FC won their maiden title by defeating FC Goa 1–0 in the final which was held on 17 March 2019. 2016 Indian Super League Season
The 2016 Indian Super League season was the third season of the Indian Super League, the football league, since its establishment in 2013. The season featured eight teams again, each playing 14 matches during the regular season before the finals. The regular season began on 1 October and ended on 4 December. The finals began on 10 December and concluded with the final on 18 December. The defending champions coming into the season were Chennaiyin. At the end of the season, Atlético de Kolkata were crowned champions after defeating the Kerala Blasters in a penalty shootout, 4–3, during the final.
