2017–18 ATK Season
The 2017 ATK season was the club's fourth season since its establishment in 2014 and their fourth season in the Indian Super League. The club ended a three-season association with the Spanish La Liga club Atlético Madrid and was abbreviated to Atlético de Kolkata, ATK This season the club is coached by Teddy Sheringham and former Bengaluru FC coach, Ashley Westwood (footballer, born 1976), Ashley Westwood is given role of technical director. ATK (football Club)
ATK Football Club (also known as Atlético de Kolkata in association with Atlético Madrid) was an Indian professional football club based in Kolkata, West Bengal. The club competed in the ISL, the top flight of Indian football. They were the cup winners during the inaugural 2014 season, 2016 and 2019–20 seasons respectively. The club was owned by Kolkata Games and Sports Pvt. Ltd. which consists of former Indian cricket captain Sourav Ganguly, alongside businessmen Harshavardhan Neotia, Sanjiv Goenka and Utsav Parekh. Eugeneson Lyngdoh (born 10 September 1986) is an Indian former footballer who last played as a midfielder for Indian Super League side East Bengal. He had also represented the India National Team. Kunzang Bhutia (born 3 January 1994) is an Indian professional footballer who currently plays as a goalkeeper for Bengaluru United. Youth career Born in Lachung, Sikkim, Bhutia was inspired by his uncle and aunt to play football. He started playing the game as a defender before being converted into a goalkeeper. Jayesh Dilip Rane (born 20 February 1993) is an Indian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder. Club career Mumbai Born in Mumbai, Maharashtra, Rane joined the Mumbai youth team in 2008. During the 2012 I-League U20, Rane ended as the league top scorer with thirteen goals. Rane was then called up to the first-team for the Federation Cup but did not see the field during the tournament due to Mumbai being knocked-out early. Carl Paul Baker (born 26 December 1982) is an English former professional footballer who played as a winger or as an attacking midfielder. He made over 350 career appearances in the Football League, including 160 appearances for Coventry City.
