The 2015–16 Barako Bull Energy season was the 14th and final season of the franchise in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). After the Philippine Cup the franchise was sold to Phoenix Petroleum and renamed as the Phoenix Fuel Masters which played its first tournament in the 2016 PBA Commissioner's Cup, Commissioner's Cup. Koy Banal
Enrico "Koy" Banal, is a Filipino people, Filipino professional basketball head coach. Coaching career Played as a San Beda Red Lions basketball, Red Lion in his college days, Banal has had extensive head coaching experience in the collegiate and amateur ranks. He called the shots for the PSBA Jaguars in the late 90s with ex-pro Warren Ybañez as his main man. From 2000-2004, he was the head coach of the FEU Tamaraws in the UAAP, bannered by future PBA MVP Arwind Santos, Denok Miranda, Mark Isip, Cesar Catli. History The PBA D-League was conceptualized after the collapse of the proposed merger between the Philippine Basketball League (PBL) and Liga Pilipinas after the staging of the ''Tournament of the Philippines'' which was composed by PBL and Liga Pilipinas teams. Quinton Brian Heruela (born April 13, 1989) is a Filipino-American basketball player for the TNT Tropang 5G of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). He was the 26th pick in the 2014 PBA draft by Blackwater. College and amateur career Heruela played for the University of Cebu Webmasters in the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation, Inc. (CESAFI). 2016 PBA Draft
The 2016 Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) rookie draft was an event which allows teams to draft players from the amateur ranks. The league determined the drafting order based on the performance of the member teams for the 2015–16 season, with the worst team picking first, as a replacement for its lottery system after the controversies that surrounded the 2014 draft. The league was supposed to hold a special draft for players from the national team, popularly called '' Gilas'', separately from the regular one for other rookies. However, a consensus lead to an agreement that the cadet players will not be drafted but will be distributed to each team instead. Emmanuel N. Monfort (born July 2, 1989) is a Filipino basketball coach and former player. He is an assistant coach for the NLEX Road Warriors of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA).
