Emman Monfort
Emmanuel N. Monfort (born July 2, 1989) is a Filipino basketball coach and former player. He is an assistant coach for the NLEX Road Warriors of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). He was selected 16th overall in the 2012 PBA draft by Barako Bull Energy Cola. At 5’6” 1/16 inches, he is one of the shortest players in PBA history. Monfort won three championships during his collegiate career with the Ateneo Blue Eagles in the UAAP from 2009 to 2011. He also won a gold medal in the 2011 SEA Games. Early life In Grade 3, Monfort started playing organized basketball. He started out as a benchwarmer for St. Joseph's Grade School Iloilo. When he was in Grade 5, he watched the 2000 PBA All-Star Game, held in his hometown of Iloilo, and met Danny Seigle, which inspired him to pursue basketball. 2010 Philippine Collegiate Championship
The 2010 Philippine Collegiate Championship was the third tournament of the Philippine Collegiate Championship (PCC) for basketball in its current incarnation, and the eighth edition overall. The champion teams from the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP), National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation, Inc. (CESAFI) and 3 other Metro Manila leagues took part in the final tournament dubbed as the "Sweet Sixteen". Other teams had to qualify in the zonal tournaments to round out the 16 teams in the tournament. 2011 SEA Games
The 2011 Southeast Asian Games, () officially known as the 26th Southeast Asian Games, or the 26th SEA Games, and commonly known as Jakarta-Palembang 2011, were a Southeast Asian multi-sport event held from 11 to 22 November 2011 in Jakarta and Palembang, Indonesia. It was Indonesia's fourth time to host the Southeast Asian Games, and its first since 1997 Southeast Asian Games, 1997. Previously, Indonesia also hosted in 1979 Southeast Asian Games, 1979 and 1987 Southeast Asian Games, 1987. The capital city of Jakarta hosted all three of the previous Games prior to this. UAAP Season 74
UAAP Season 74 was the 2011–2012 athletic year of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines. It was hosted by Ateneo de Manila University. The men's basketball and the women's volleyball tournaments were aired by ABS-CBN Channel 2 and Studio 23 (the men's basketball games are simulcast over DZSR Sports Radio 918) for the twelfth consecutive year. UAAP Season 72 was the 2009–2010 season of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines. It was hosted by Far Eastern University, with opening rites on July 11, 2009 at the Araneta Coliseum. The men's basketball tournament and the women's volleyball tournament were aired by ABS-CBN's UHF Studio 23 for the tenth consecutive year. Ateneo Blue Eagles
The Ateneo Blue Eagles are the collegiate varsity teams of the Ateneo de Manila University that play in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP), the premiere collegiate league in the Philippines. The Ateneo collegiate men's varsity basketball team was not always called the Blue Eagles. It got the name Blue Eagles when Ateneo adopted the ''Eagle'' as its mascot in 1938. Prior to that, from 1914 it was known under different names. Basketball At The 2011 Southeast Asian Games
The basketball tournament at the 2011 SEA Games took place from 14 to 20 November 2011. This edition of the tournament featured both men's and women's tournament. All matches took place at Kelapa Gading Sports Mall in Jakarta. Men's tournament ''All times are Western Indonesian Time (WIB) – UTC+7.''
