Mendiola
Mendiola Street (or simply "Mendiola") is a short thoroughfare in Manila, Philippines. The street is named after Enrique Mendiola, the pedagogue, author of textbooks, educator and member of the first Board of Regents of the University of the Philippines. As a street leading to Malacañang Palace, the President of the Philippines' official residence, it has been a convergence area of numerous and sometimes bloody demonstrations. On the north end of the street is the Don Chino Roces Bridge, named in honor of Chino Roces, a well-known figure during the Philippines' Martial Law years. Calvin Oftana
Calvin John Oftana (born January 3, 1996) is a Filipino professional basketball player for the TNT Tropang 5G of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). He played college basketball for the San Beda Red Lions in the NCAA. He plays both the small forward and the power forward positions. He has also played as a shooting guard during college. Early life Oftana was born in Danao, Cebu, but grew up in Siaton after his parents split up. He was raised by his mother along with his nine siblings. Evan Nelle
Evan Heinrich Nikolai Nelle (born June 8, 1998) is a Filipino basketball player for the NorthPort Batang Pier of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). He played for the De La Salle Green Archers and San Beda Red Lions. He has won championships in the NCAA and in the UAAP. Early life When he was in grade school, Nelle studied at De La Salle-Zobel. Javee Mocon
Javee Dimalanta Mocon (born April 7, 1995) is a Filipino professional basketball player for the NLEX Road Warriors of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). He played college basketball for the San Beda Red Lions in the NCAA. He plays both the small forward position. High school career Mocon, coached by the renowned Edmundo "Ato" Badolato, started playing for the San Beda’s team in the boys' leagues. Rogemar "Ogie" A. Menor (born December 4, 1986) is a Filipino former professional basketball player. He last played for the Bulacan Kuyas of the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL). High school Menor spent high school at San Beda College in Mendiola, Manila where he was a vital cog for the Red Cubs in the NCAA Juniors Division. They swept the eliminations of the 79th season of the NCAA paving the way for a duel with the Mapua Robins for the 2003 Juniors basketball championship. David Paul M. Marcelo (born February 22, 1989) is a Filipino professional basketball player for the NLEX Road Warriors of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). Ernesto Jose Francisco "Joey" Cuerva Loyzaga (born September 23, 1961) is a Filipino retired professional basketball player. Collegiate / amateur career Loyzaga broke into the hoops limelight as a Red Cub for San Beda College in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (Philippines). He was elevated to the senior Red Lions where he spent the next three years as a starter for then-SBC coach Loreto Carbonell. Joaquín "Chito" Cuerva Loyzaga (born August 29, 1958) is a Filipino former professional basketball player and commissioner. He played for the San Beda College in the NCAA before going on to play in the Philippine Basketball Association. Carlos "Caloy" Loyzaga y Matute (August 29, 1930 – January 27, 2016) was a Filipino basketball player, coach and politician. Frankie Lim
Francisco "Frankie" Lim (born February 29, 1960) is a Filipino former basketball player, basketball coach and executive. He played 15 seasons in the PBA. He later became a successful coach, leading his alma mater San Beda Red Lions to four NCAA seniors titles. Lim previously served as head coach of the NLEX Road Warriors. Garvo A. Lanete (born February 13, 1989) is a Filipino former professional basketball player. He previously played in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) for three teams. He also won four championships in the NCAA, multiple PBA D-League titles, and played for the Philippines' men's national basketball team.
