2015–16 All-Ireland Junior Club Hurling Championship
The 2015–16 All-Ireland Intermediate Club Hurling Championship was the 13th staging of the All-Ireland Junior Club Hurling Championship, the Gaelic Athletic Association's third inter county, inter-county club hurling tournament. The championship began on 27 September 2015 and ended on 7 February 2016. Bennettsbridge GAA, Bennettsbridge were the defending champions but availed of their right to promotion to the intermediate grade. On 7 February 2016, Glenmore GAA, Glenmore won the championship following a 2–9 to 0–12 defeat of CLG Eoghan Rua, Eoghan Rua. This was their first All-Ireland title in this grade. The 2014–15 All-Ireland Junior Club Hurling Championship was the 12th staging of the All-Ireland Junior Club Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association. The championship ran from 5 October 2014 to 15 February 2015. The 2014–15 All-Ireland Junior Club Hurling Championship#All-Ireland final, All-Ireland final was played on 15 February 2015 at Croke Park in Dublin, between Bennettsbridge GAA, Bennettsbridge from Kilkenny and Fullen Gaels GAA, Fullen Gaels from Warwickshire, in what was their first ever meeting in the final. Bennettsbridge won the match by 3-19 to 1-08 to claim their first ever All-Ireland title. Munster Junior Club Hurling Championship
The Munster Junior Club Hurling Championship (known for sponsorship reasons as the AIB Munster GAA Hurling Junior Club Championship) is an annual hurling competition organised by the Munster Council of the Gaelic Athletic Association and contested by the five champion junior clubs and one champion intermediate club in the province of Munster in Ireland. It is the most prestigious competition for junior clubs in Munster hurling. The Munster Junior Club Championship was introduced in 2001. In its current format, the championship begins in late October or early November and is usually played over a four-week period. The six participating club teams compete in a straight knockout competition that culminates with the Munster final for the two remaining teams. O'Connor Park
O'Connor Park () is a Gaelic Athletic Association, GAA stadium in Tullamore, County Offaly, Republic of Ireland, Ireland. It is one of the principal grounds of the Offaly GAA Gaelic football and hurling teams. It is known for sponsorship reasons as Glenisk O’Connor Park. The ground was opened in 1934, to replace Ballyduff Park, and currently has a capacity of 18,000. The ground currently consists of a covered stand on one side of the pitch, with terracing on the other three. A stand was built in 1991, but replaced by the current structure in 2006. Nowlan Park (; ), known for sponsorship reasons as UPMC Nowlan Park, is the principal Gaelic Athletic Association stadium in Kilkenny, Ireland. Named after James Nowlan, the longest serving President of the GAA, the stadium hosts major hurling matches and is home to the Kilkenny hurling team. It opened in 1927, replacing St. James Park. The Louth County Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) () or Louth GAA is one of the 32 county boards of the GAA in Ireland, and is responsible for Gaelic games in County Louth. Carlow Town GAA
Carlow Town Hurling Club is a Gaelic Athletic Association club located in Carlow, Ireland. The club is solely concerned with the game of hurling. History Hurling has been played in Carlow since the 19th century, with several clubs representing the town and enjoying success at various intervals. One of these clubs, the Pearses, won Carlow SHC titles in 1961 and 1963 before later disbanding. In 1968, a new club was reformed under the name Carlow Town Hurling Club. The new club had success in the juvenile and underage grades, winning the Carlow U16HC title in 1974, the Carlow MHC title in 1975 and Carlow U21HC titles in 1976 and 1977. St Fechin's GAA
St Fechin's GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) club that fields teams in competitions organised by Louth GAA. It is located in the seaside village of Termonfeckin, part of Beaulieu parish. Former Louth county footballer Fr Shane Cullen helped found the club in 1941. Paddy McGlew, who played football with the club, was Chairman of Louth GAA from 1988 to 1991. In the late 1990s St Fechin's purchased a 27-acre site at Beaulieu, which would become their new home. The official opening was performed by then GAA president Seán Kelly in August 2003. Clogherhead club Dreadnots are the clubs local rivals and Knockbridge GAA are the clubs biggest rivals in hurling. Trumera GAA
Trumera GAA is a hurling and Gaelic football club in County Laois, Ireland. History The present Trumera GAA Club was formed at a meeting in Trumera National School in winter 1968. An earlier version of Trumera was set up at a gathering of interested people in the 1920s. The team reached a county Junior semi-final against Mountmellick in 1927. They lost that game and the team faded out soon afterwards. All through the seventies and eighties the club competed in the Laois Junior Hurling Championship without any great success. The nineties brought a change of fortune with the club reaching its first league final in 1990. Brownstown Hurling Club is a Gaelic Athletic Association club in Archerstown, County Westmeath, Ireland. The club is exclusively concerned with the game of hurling. History Located in the parish of Delvin, on the Meath-Westmeath border, Brownstown Hurling Club was founded in 1922. The club won its first Westmeath SHC title in 1938. Brownstown regularly contested finals over the following 15 years and had won six SHC titles in total by 1952. Emigration had a big impact following this success, which resulted in the club amalgamating with Delvin in 1966. After the club was reformed in 1968, Brownstown went on to win the Westmeath JHC title in 1970.
