2014–15 Philadelphia Flyers Season
The 2014–15 Philadelphia Flyers season was the 48th season for the National Hockey League franchise that was established on June 5, 1967. For the second time in three years, the Flyers failed to qualify for the playoffs. Eastern Conference (NHL)
The Eastern Conference () is one of two conferences in the National Hockey League (NHL) used to divide teams. Its counterpart is the Western Conference (NHL), Western Conference. History Originally named the Prince of Wales Conference (or Wales Conference for short), it was created in 1974–75 NHL season, 1974 when the NHL realigned its teams into two conferences and four divisions. Because the new conferences and divisions had little to do with North American geography, geographical references were removed. 2011–12 Florida Panthers Season
The 2011–12 Florida Panthers season was the 18th season for the National Hockey League (NHL) franchise that was established on June 14, 1993. The Panthers qualified for the Stanley Cup playoffs for the first time in 12 years after their previous playoff appearance in 2000, and also won their division for the first time. However, the Panthers could not further their progress, losing in the opening round to the New Jersey Devils, who would go on to be the Stanley Cup runner-up. The Panthers had a 3–2 lead in the series before losing Games 6 and 7 (both in overtime) to be eliminated from the playoffs. 2014–15 NHL Suspensions And Fines
The following is a list of all suspensions and fines enforced in the National Hockey League (NHL) during the 2014–15 NHL season. It lists which players or coaches of what team have been punished for which offense and the amount of punishment they have received. Based on each player's average annual salary, divided by number of days in the season (195) for non-repeat offenders and games (82) for repeat offenders, salary will be forfeited for the term of their suspension. Players' money forfeited due to suspension or fine goes to the Players' Emergency Assistance Fund, while money forfeited by coaches, staff or organizations as a whole go to the NHL Foundation. Kris Letang
Kristopher Joseph Pierre Irwin Letang (born April 24, 1987) is a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman and alternate captain for the Pittsburgh Penguins of the National Hockey League (NHL). He played juniors in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) with Val-d'Or Foreurs for three seasons, during which time he was selected 62nd overall by the Penguins in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft. In his second full NHL season, Letang won the 2009 Stanley Cup with Pittsburgh. Michael Del Zotto (born June 24, 1990) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey defenceman. He was drafted in the first round, 20th overall, by the New York Rangers at the 2008 NHL Entry Draft. Nicholas Andrew Schultz (born August 25, 1982) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey defenceman who played 17 seasons in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the Minnesota Wild, Edmonton Oilers, Columbus Blue Jackets, and Philadelphia Flyers. Paul Howard Holmgren (born December 2, 1955) is an Americans, American former professional ice hockey player and executive. He previously served as the general manager and president of the Philadelphia Flyers of the National Hockey League (NHL). As a player, he featured in the 1980 Stanley Cup Finals with the Flyers.
