2013–14 Copa Chile
The 2013–14 Copa Chile, (officially known as ''Copa Chile MTS 2013/14'' because of its sponsorship), was the 34th edition of the Copa Chile, the country's national cup tournament. The competition started on June 23, 2013 with the First Round and concludes on 2014 with the Final. The winner qualifies for the 2014 Copa Sudamericana and the 2014 Supercopa de Chile. Schedule Teams A total 32 clubs were accepted for the competition. For this edition the teams are from the Primera División and Primera B, only. First round On this round every team plays home and away against every other team in its group. The best 2 teams from each group advance to the next round. Copa Chile
The Copa Chile (''Chile Cup'') is an annual cup competition for Chilean football teams. Due to time constraints and club pressure, the trophy was cancelled in 2000, but returned in 2008. Its precursor was the Campeonato de Apertura (''Opening Championship''), played from 1933 to 1950. The cup is now open to every member club of the Chilean football league system, from professional teams; ( Primera División, Primera B & Segunda División), down to teams from the ANFA: Tercera División. Since the season 2009, the winners obtained a direct Copa Sudamericana spot for the next season, however this was change starting from the 2015 edition; since then the winners obtains a direct Copa Libertadores spot for the next season. In the history of the tournament, the Primera División teams have dominated the competition; but, because this is contested in a knockout tournament format, the opportunity for lower-level teams upsetting a top level squad is a real possibility. Curicó Unido
Curicó Unido is a football club based in Curicó, Maule Region, Chile. They currently play in the Primera B de Chile, the second level of the Chilean football system. They are currently managed by Héctor Almandoz. History Curicó Unido was founded on 26 February 1973, with ''Edmundo Rojas'' as the first President of the club. They became the fourth football team from the Curicó city to play at the professional level, after Alianza de Curicó, Luis Cruz Martínez and Bádminton de Curicó. Coquimbo Unido
Coquimbo Unido is a Chilean football club based in the city of Coquimbo. The club was founded in 1958 and has played in the Chilean Primera División since being promoted in 2022. Their home games are played at the Estadio Municipal Francisco Sánchez Rumoroso, which has a capacity of approximately 18,750 seats. History The club was founded on 30 August 1958. In 2005, the club was runner up of the Primera Division Apertura tournament, losing the final to Unión Española. However, the club had a dismal Clausura tournament, and were one spot away from being relegated. Coquimbo won the 2018 Primera B and returned to the Primera Division for the 2019 season after 14 years of absence. Unión La Calera
Unión La Calera is a Chilean football club based in La Calera, Chile. The club competes in the Primera División de Chile. It was founded as Club de Deportes La Calera on 26 January 1954, after the merger of three teams from the city: ''Condor'', ''Calera Comercio'' and ''Tifón''. The following year, Deportes La Calera joined ''Club de Deportes Melón'' (originated by the merger between Cemento Melón and Minas Navío) to form Unión La Calera. After spending 6 seasons in the second division, the club obtained its first promotion to Primera División de Chile in 1961, where they remained until 1974. In 1985, they returned to top-tier, but they were relegated the incoming season. Santiago Wanderers
Club de Deportes Santiago Wanderers is a football club based in Valparaíso, a founding member of the Chilean Football Federation. Their home ground, Estadio Elías Figueroa Brander, is in the north-west of the city. Wanderers have played their games there since 1931 after moving from Barrio Puerto. Everton de Viña del Mar is a Football in Chile, Chilean football club based in the city of Viña del Mar. The club was founded 24 June 1909 after a group of British Chilean, Anglo-Chilean teenagers formed a football club and named it after the English team Everton F.C., Everton who had recently completed a pioneering tour of South America. The club's nickname is "Ruleteros" or the roulette players in English, after Viña del Mar's status as a gambling resort. Club Social de Deportes Rangers is a Chilean football (soccer), football club based in the city of Talca. The club was founded November 2, 1902 and plays in the Chilean Primera División B, second level of the Chilean football system. Unión San Felipe is a Chilean football club, their hometown is San Felipe in the V Región of Valparaíso. They play in the second level of the Chilean football league, the Primera B. The club was founded on October 16, 1956 with the merger of ''Internacional'' and ''Tarcisio''. In November 2009, the club won the Copa Chile, their second major title, after beating Deportes Iquique in the final 3–0.
