2011–12 In Azerbaijani Football
The 2011–12 season was the 20th season of competitive football in Azerbaijan. The season began on 6 August 2011 for Premier League and 10 September for the First Division. The first round of the Premier League ended on 7 March 2012, with the Championship and Relegation groups having their first games on 11 March. The Championship group ended on 11 May 2013 and the Relegation group on 12 May 2013, the same day as the First Division ended. Season events Inter Baku scandal On 21 August 2011, Inter Baku - FK Baku game was suspended during last minutes due referee scandal, therefore game's fate decided after Professional Football League of Azerbaijan's decision. Cihan Özkara
Cihan Özkara (born 14 July 1991) is a German-born Azerbaijani professional footballer who most recently played as a forward for German club Rot Weiss Ahlen. Career Özkara was born in Hamm. He began his career with LR Ahlen and played eight years before joining Arminia Bielefeld in summer 2007. The Estádio Municipal de Braga (') is an All-seater stadium, all-seater Association football, football stadium located in Braga, Portugal, and the current home of S.C. Braga, Sporting Clube de Braga. 2014 FIFA World Cup Qualification (UEFA)
The European zone of qualification for the 2014 FIFA World Cup saw 53 teams competing for 13 places in the finals in Brazil. The draw for the qualification groups was held during the World Cup Preliminary Draw at the Marina da Glória in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on 30 July 2011. The qualification format was the same as 2010. The teams were drawn into eight groups of six teams and one group of five, with the nine group winners qualifying directly for the final tournament. The eight best runners-up (determined by records against the first-, third-, fourth- and fifth-placed teams in their groups to ensure equity between different groups) were drawn in two-legged play-offs that determined the remaining four qualifying nations.
