2011–12 In Azerbaijani Football
The 2011–12 season was the 20th season of competitive football in Azerbaijan. The season began on 6 August 2011 for Premier League and 10 September for the First Division. The first round of the Premier League ended on 7 March 2012, with the Championship and Relegation groups having their first games on 11 March. The Championship group ended on 11 May 2013 and the Relegation group on 12 May 2013, the same day as the First Division ended. Season events Inter Baku scandal On 21 August 2011, Inter Baku - FK Baku game was suspended during last minutes due referee scandal, therefore game's fate decided after Professional Football League of Azerbaijan's decision. Dalga Stadium
Dalga Arena () also known as Liv Bona Dea Arena for sponsorship reasons, is a multi-use stadium in Mardakan settlement of Baku, Azerbaijan. It is currently used mostly for football matches. The stadium holds 6,500 people and opened by Sepp Blatter and Michel Platini on 6 June 2011. The stadium was one of venues during 2012 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup. Zlatko Junuzović (, ; born 26 September 1987) is an Austrian former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. From 2006 to 2017 he played for the Austria national team. Andreas Ivanschitz (; born 15 October 1983) is an Austrian retired footballer who played as an attacking midfielder.
