The 2010–11 Argentine Torneo Argentino A was the sixteenth season of third division professional football in Argentina. A total of 24 teams competed; the champion was promoted to Primera B Nacional. Torneo Argentino A
The Torneo Argentino A (in English "Argentine A Tournament") was one of the two leagues that formed the regionalised third level of the Argentine football league system. Clubs in the Torneo Argentino have indirect membership in AFA, while clubs in the Primera B Metropolitana (the other third division) have direct membership in AFA. All teams with indirect membership are from outside the city of Buenos Aires and its metropolitan area ( Greater Buenos Aires), while most of the direct members are from the aforementioned area. Final format (2013–2014) First stage The teams were divided into two zones, North and South, all of which went to the Second Stage: the first four of each zone and the fifth best team of both zones qualified to the "Nonagonal Final", and the other teams qualified to Revalida Stage. Sportivo Belgrano is an Argentine football club, which home town is located in San Francisco, Córdoba. The team currently plays in the Primera B Nacional, the second division of the Argentine football league system. History On 15 April 1914, a group of young people decided to establish a social club in the city of San Francisco, Córdoba. The name was chosen as a tribute to Manuel Belgrano, the creator of the flag of Argentina. Club Atlético Alumni (usually referred as Alumni de Villa María) is a football club from the city of Villa María, in Córdoba Province, Argentina. The squad currently plays in Torneo Federal B, the regionalised quarter division of the Argentine football league system. At the end of the 2005–06 season Alumni was promoted from Torneo Argentino B, in which the team won its group, but lost the playoff for automatic promotion. Alumni then went into a promotion/relegation playoff with General Paz Juniors from Argentino A. Alumni won the first leg 5–0, and won the tie 5–2 on aggregate to secure promotion. The name ''Alumni'' derives from one of the most famous clubs from the Amateur era of Argentine football.
