The 2010–11 Nashville Predators season was the team's 13th season in the National Hockey League (NHL). They were defeated by the Vancouver Canucks in the second round of the Stanley Cup playoffs. Pre-season With their 18th-overall first-round pick, the Predators chose Austin Watson of the Peterborough Petes. Western Conference (NHL)
The Western Conference () is one of two conferences in the National Hockey League (NHL) used to divide teams. Its counterpart is the Eastern Conference (NHL), Eastern Conference. History Originally named the Clarence Campbell Conference (or Campbell Conference for short), it was created in 1974–75 NHL season, 1974 when the NHL realigned its teams into two conferences and four divisions. Because the new conferences and divisions had little to do with North American geography, geographical references were removed. Mark Dekanich
Mark Adam Dekanich (born May 10, 1986) is a Croatian former professional ice hockey goaltender. He was selected by the Nashville Predators in the fifth round (146th overall) of the 2006 NHL Entry Draft. Playing career As a youth, Dekanich played in the 2000 Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament with a minor ice hockey team from Burnaby. He later played four years of collegiate hockey at Colgate University. During his sophomore season at Colgate, Dekanich started 36 of Colgate’s 39 games where he set a then-school-record of 988 saves. He ranked first in the ECACHL conference for the 2005–06 season with a .924 save percentage and was subsequently named to the all-ECAC first team and won the Ken Dryden Award as the ECAC Goaltender of the Year. Anders Lindbäck (born 3 May 1988) is a Sweden, Swedish professional ice hockey goaltender who currently plays for Färjestad BK in the Swedish Hockey League (SHL). He has previously played for the Nashville Predators, Tampa Bay Lightning, Dallas Stars, Buffalo Sabres and Arizona Coyotes in the National Hockey League (NHL). The 2010–11 Vancouver Canucks season was the 41st season in the modern Canucks history. The Vancouver Canucks won their fifth Northwest division title, third conference championship and first Presidents' Trophy. The 2010–11 Anaheim Ducks season was the 18th season of operation for the National Hockey League (NHL) franchise.
