The 2009–10 LNBP was the 10th season of the Liga Nacional de Baloncesto Profesional, one of the professional basketball leagues of Mexico. It started on September 10, 2009 and ended on March 10, 2010. 2008–09 LNBP Season
The 2008–09 LNBP was the 9th season of the Liga Nacional de Baloncesto Profesional, one of the professional basketball leagues of Mexico. It started on September 4, 2008, and ended on March 18, 2009. The league title was won by Halcones UV Xalapa, which defeated Soles de Mexicali in the championship series, 4–2. Format 24 teams participate. The teams are divided in two groups of 12 teams each, called ''Zonas'' (zones): ''Zona Norte'' (North) and ''Zona Sur'' (South). The first 8 teams in each group qualify for the playoffs. The group playoffs have quarterfinals (best-of-5), semifinals (best-of-7) and finals (best-of-7). The winner of each group series qualify for the championship series (best-of-7), named ''Final de Finales'' (Final of Finals). Zacatecas, officially the Free and Sovereign State of Zacatecas, is one of the Political divisions of Mexico, 31 states of Mexico. Córdoba, Veracruz
Córdoba, known officially as Heroica Córdoba, is a city and the seat of the municipality of the same name in the Mexican state of Veracruz. It was founded in 1618. The National Professional Basketball League ( or LNBP), officially known as the Liga Caliente LNBP for sponsorship reasons, is the top professional basketball league in Mexico. The Fuerza Regia de Monterrey (''Monterrey Royal Force'' in English) is a Mexican professional basketball team based in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico playing in the Liga Nacional de Baloncesto Profesional (LNBP).
