Kakkonen
Kakkonen or II divisioona is the fourth level in the league system of Finnish football and comprises 36 Finnish football teams. Until the end of 2023, ''Kakkonen'' was the third-highest level in Finland, but after the creation of new second-tier Ykkösliiga, Kakkonen also dropped down one level in the league pyramid. The new fourth-tier Kakkonen is divided to three groups, each consisting of 10 teams. The II divisioona was introduced in 1973 and in the mid-1990s became known as the Kakkonen ( Finnish for 'Number Two'; ). Sakari Tukiainen finished the season 2014 as the top goal scorer and setting a new league record with 40 goals for the Kakkonen. Petter Meyer finished the 2015 as the top goal scorer for GrIFK with 23 goals. Kotkan Työväen Palloilijat
Kotkan Työväen Palloilijat (abbreviated as KTP) is a Finnish association football, football club based in Kotka, and currently competing in Finland's top-tier, the Veikkausliiga. The club was founded in 1927 and its colours are green and white. Immediately after its formation the club joined the Finnish Workers' Sports Federation, to which it still belongs. KTP play its home matches at Arto Tolsa Areena. History KTP had a long football traditions centred on its golden age in the early 1950s when the club won two Finnish championships in 1951 and 1952. They also won the Finnish Cup four times, the most recent occasion being in 1980. The club, playing in the renamed Arto Tolsa Areena, were participating in the Veikkausliiga as recently as 2000, but were relegated to Ykkönen and finally went into bankruptcy. Football Club Jazz, commonly known as just Jazz, is a Finnish Association football, football club based in Pori, which plays in the Finnish third tier, Ykkönen. The club was founded in 1934 as Porin Pallo-Toverit. PPT changed its name to FC Jazz in November 1991. Åbo Idrottsföreningen Kamraterna, IFK (or ÅIFK for short) is a sports club from Turku, Finland. The club was founded in 1908, and originally represented the Swedish-speaking population of Finland, Swedish-speaking minority of Turku/Åbo. FC Honka is a Finland, Finnish Association football, football club based in Espoo. It was founded in 1957 as Tapion Honka, and changed its name to FC Honka in 1975. Pallo-Iirot (abbreviated P-Iirot) is a football club from Rauma, Finland, Rauma in Finland. The club was formed in 1930 and their home ground is at the Äijänsuon stadion. Kaarinan Pojat
Kaarinan Pojat (abbreviated KaaPo) is a football club from Kaarina in Finland. The club was formed in 1932 and their home ground is at the Kaarinan urheilukenttä. The men's football first team currently plays in the Kakkonen (Third Division ). The Chairman of KaaPo is Olli Tuominen. Background Kaarinan Pojat was established on 1 October 1958 having been initiated by a young teacher from Loimaa, Olavi Kuikka. The founding meeting was held at Ylikylä school and Pauli Hollmén was elected as chairman and Olavi Kuikka as secretary. The executive committee consisted of Heikki Hallikainen, Veikko Polari, Raimo Åkerblom, Arvi Kukkonen and Pertti Kottonen. Tampereen Ilves, commonly known as Ilves, (; Finnish for "Lynx") is a Finnish professional ice hockey team based in Tampere. They play in the Liiga at the Nokia Arena. The colors of Ilves, green, yellow, and black, were taken from what was then the coat of arms of the city of Tampere. History With sixteen championships, Ilves is the second most successful hockey team in the Finnish championship league, the Liiga, after their local rival Tappara. Lohjan Pallo (abbreviated LoPa) is a football club from Lohja, Finland. The club was formed in 1966 and their home ground is at the Harjun urheilukenttä. The men's first team currently plays in thNelonen(Fourth Division). The chairman is Mikko Koivisto. History LoPa were promoted to the Kolmonen in 1976 and the club remained at this level until 1991 when they progressed to the Kakkonen (Second Division), the third tier of the Finnish football system. To date they have played 7 seasons in the Kakkonen over three periods from 1992 to 1994, 2000 and 2007 to the present. Lohjan Pallo has a strong relationship with the other club from Lohja known as FC Lohja who play in the Vitonen, with the basic concept of sharing the pool of players available to the clubs.
