The 2005–06 Azerbaijan Premier League, Azerbaijan Top League was the fourteenth season of the Top League since its establishment in 1992. Azerbaijan Premier League
The Azerbaijan Premier League (), also known as Misli Premyer Liqası for sponsorship reasons, is a professional association football league in Azerbaijan and the highest level of the Azerbaijani football league system. It is contested by twelve clubs. Seasons run from August to May, with teams playing 33 matches each (playing each team in the league three times, twice at home and once away). The Premier League champion secures the right to play in UEFA Champions League first qualifying round. The runner up and the 3rd-place winner secure the right to play in UEFA Europa Conference League starting in second qualifying round. Since 1992, a total of eight clubs have been crowned champions of the Azerbaijani football system. Yevlakh City Stadium
Yevlakh City Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Yevlakh, Azerbaijan. It is currently used mostly for football matches. It serves as a home ground of FK Karvan. In 2007, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev officially inaugurated the stadium of the FC Karvan in Yevlakh. The stadium holds 7,000 people. Yevlakh (, ) is a city in Azerbaijan, 265 km west of the capital of Baku. It is surrounded by but administratively separate from the Yevlakh District. Etymology The settlement is mentioned by the 13th century Armenian historian Stephen Orbelian in the form of ''Evaylakh'' (). The name "Yevlakh" is derived from Old Turkic and means "wetland" according to 20th century Soviet geographer Evgeny Pospelov. ASK Arena (), formerly Inter Arena and Shafa Stadium is an all-seater football stadium located in Baku . The stadium was built on the site of Termist stadium in 2001 and has a capacity of 8,125 spectators. The stadium surrounded by practice fields, administration buildings and four-star hotel.
