2003–04 Cupa României
The 2003–04 Cupa României was the 66th edition of Romania's most prestigious football cup competition. The title was won by Dinamo București against Oțelul Galați. Format The competition is an annual knockout tournament. First round proper matches are played on the ground of the lowest ranked team, then from the second round proper the matches are played on a neutral location. If a match is drawn after 90 minutes, the game goes into extra time, where it works golden goal rule. If the match is still tied, the result is decided by penalty kicks. In the quarter-finals and semi-finals, each tie is played as a two legs. From the first edition, the teams from Divizia A entered in competition in sixteen finals, rule which remained till today. Fotbal Club Dinamo București (), commonly known as Dinamo București or simply Dinamo, is a Romanian professional football club based in Bucharest. Clubul Sportiv Municipal Unirea Alba Iulia, commonly known as Unirea Alba Iulia (), is a Romanian professional football club based in Alba Iulia, Alba County, founded in 1924 and currently playing in the Liga III. Fotbal Club Rapid 1923, commonly known as Rapid București () or simply as Rapid, is a Romanian professional football club based in Bucharest, which competes in the Liga I. It was founded in 1923 by employees of the Grivița workshops as ''Asociația Culturală și Sportivă CFR'' ("CFR Cultural and Sports Association"). Club Sportiv Municipal Moinești, commonly known as CSM Moinești, or simply as Moinești, is a Romanian amateur football club based in Moinești, Bacău County, founded in 1948 under the name of ''Petrolul Moinești''. Fotbal Club Politehnica Timișoara (), commonly known as Politehnica Timișoara or simply Poli Timișoara, was a Romanian football club from Timișoara, Timiș County, established in 1921 and dissolved in 2012.
