Danish Cup
The Danish Cup (; often referred to as Pokalen) is the official "single-elimination tournament, knockout" cup competition in Danish football, run by the Danish Football Association. The cup has been contested annually since 1955. The winner will qualify for the UEFA Europa League tournament the following year, where they (as of the 2009–10 season) will enter in the third qualifying round. The final traditionally takes place on ''Kristi Himmelfarts Dag'' (Feast of the Ascension, The Ascension) and it is always played in the Danish national stadium Parken. However in the 1991 and 1992 seasons the final had been rescheduled to Odense Stadion and Århus Stadion respectively due to the renovation of Parken. Furthermore, in 2011, because Ascension Thursday fell on 2 June and an international match date was already allotted for this date, the Danish Cup final was played two weeks earlier on 22 May, which coincided with the annual Copenhagen Marathon. Football Club Nordsjælland, commonly known as FC Nordsjælland, Nordsjælland () or FCN, is a professional Danish association football, football team from the North Zealand town of Farum. Founded as ''Farum Boldklub'' from the merger of the town's two football clubs Farum IK and Stavnsholt BK in 1991, the club changed its name to FC Nordsjælland in 2003. Randers Sportsklub Freja (often abbreviated Randers Freja) is a Danish sport club with teams in athletics, handball, table tennis and football. History Randers Freja was founded in 1898, and was accepted into the JBU in 1907. The football department, under the name Randers Freja FC, was established in the late 1990s. In 2003, it merged with five other local football clubs to form Randers FC. The club's football department still exists, but is now considered the reserve team for Randers FC. The handball department became part of Randers HK in 1996. In 2006 they entered in a cooperation with a list of other sports clubs in and around Randers to create the men's elite handball team Randers HH. The project was discontinued in 2020. Kastrup Boldklub (Kastrup BK or KB for short) is a Danish football club based in the suburb of Kastrup (Tårnby Municipality) on Amager. As of the 2024–25, the club's first senior men's team play in Copenhagen Series ( level 6). The club was founded on 4 May 1933 as Boldklubben Funkis and changed to the current name in 1941. Dalum Idrætsforening is a Danish football club currently playing in the Denmark Series, the fifth tier of the Danish divisions. They play at Dalum Stadion in southern parts of Odense on Funen, a stadium with a capacity of 4,000. Founded in 1931, the club rose to prominence in the late 1990s, playing two seasons in the second tier, Danish 1st Division and six seasons in the third tier Danish 2nd Division from 1998 to 2006, and again from 2015–16. Jammerbugt Fodbold Club was a Danish club based in Pandrup, Jammerbugt Municipality, that folded after the court in Hjørring issued a bankruptcy decree on 22 August 2022.
