1993–94 AC Milan Season
Associazione Calcio Milan enjoyed perhaps the greatest season in its history, winning three trophies, most memorable for the 4–0 victory against FC Barcelona in the Champions League Final in Athens. That game saw a goal explosion from a Milan side that had been extremely defensive during the entire league season. Milan won Serie A for a third consecutive time with a mere 36 goals scored in 34 games, but conceding only 15, which was largely down to their strong defensive line, with Franco Baresi and Paolo Maldini as key players to thank for their third consecutive domestic success. AC Milan
(), commonly referred to as Milan or AC Milan () mainly outside of Italy, is an Italian professional Football club (association football), football club based in Milan, Lombardy. 1992–93 AC Milan Season
Associazione Calcio Milan won two trophies in the 1992–93 season, which was crowned when it reached the European Cup final and won the domestic league for the second year running. None of the other Serie A teams came close to challenging Milan in the league, with new signing Jean-Pierre Papin playing a vital role in the absence of lethal striker Marco van Basten, who albeit scored 13 goals in just 15 matches. Some defensive slips were redeemed by the 65 goals scored, which was the most of all teams in the league, and enough to clinch the title in front of city rivals Internazionale by four points. The season also saw memorable displays against Pescara, Fiorentina and Lazio in the beginning of the season. Marco Simone
Marco Simone (; born 7 January 1969) is an Italian professional football manager and former player. As a player, he was a striker and winger. He most prominently played for Milan, with whom he won four Serie A championships and two UEFA Champions League titles, as well as in France's Ligue 1 for Paris Saint-Germain and Monaco. At international level, Simone played four games for the Italy national team. As a manager, Simone has coached Monaco, Tours, Laval and Châteauroux. Frank Rijkaard
Franklin Edmundo Rijkaard (; born 30 September 1962) is a Dutch former footballer and former manager who played as a defensive midfielder. Regarded as one of the greatest midfielders in footballing history, Rijkaard was described by British broadsheet ''The Daily Telegraph'' as having been "a stylish player of faultless pedigree". Rijkaard played for Ajax, Real Zaragoza and AC Milan. With Ajax, he won five Eredivisie titles and the 1994–1995 Champions League. 1994 San Marino Grand Prix
The 1994 San Marino Grand Prix (formally the 14º Gran Premio di San Marino) was a Formula One motor race held on 1 May 1994 at the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari, located in Imola, Italy. It was the third race of the 1994 Formula One World Championship. Michael Schumacher, driving for Benetton, won the race. Nicola Larini, driving for Ferrari, scored the first points of his career when he finished in second position. Mika Häkkinen finished third in a McLaren. Paolo Cesare Maldini (; born 26 June 1968) is an Italian football executive and former professional footballer who played as a left-back or as a centre-back for AC Milan and the Italy national team. He mainly played as a sweeper or as a central defender, and spent his entire 20-year career with Serie A club AC Milan, captaining the club for 15 seasons.
