1992–93 AC Milan Season
Associazione Calcio Milan won two trophies in the 1992–93 season, which was crowned when it reached the European Cup final and won the domestic league for the second year running. None of the other Serie A teams came close to challenging Milan in the league, with new signing Jean-Pierre Papin playing a vital role in the absence of lethal striker Marco van Basten, who albeit scored 13 goals in just 15 matches. Some defensive slips were redeemed by the 65 goals scored, which was the most of all teams in the league, and enough to clinch the title in front of city rivals Internazionale by four points. The season also saw memorable displays against Pescara, Fiorentina and Lazio in the beginning of the season. Carlo Cudicini
Carlo Cudicini (born 6 September 1973) is a former Italian footballer who played as a goalkeeper. He is currently a club ambassador and loan player technical coach at Chelsea. He is the son of the AC Milan goalkeeper Fabio Cudicini (1935–2025), and the grandson of Ponziana defender Guglielmo Cudicini. Cudicini started his professional career at Serie A side AC Milan in 1992, but struggled to break into the first team and was loaned to Como before moving to Prato and then Lazio in 1996. Having only made a single league appearance for Lazio, he moved a year later to Castel di Sangro and then to Premier League side Chelsea in 1999, initially on loan. Francesco Antonioli
Francesco Stefano Antonioli (born 14 September 1969) is an Italian former footballer who played as goalkeeper. He was the oldest footballer in Serie A until his club Cesena were relegated to Serie B at the end of the 2011–12 season, after which he retired from professional football. Antonioli began his club career with Monza and played for several Italian clubs throughout his career, winning titles with AC Milan, Bologna and Roma. Despite never being capped at senior international level, he was an unused member of the Italy squad that took part at Euro 2000, reaching the final. Sebastiano Rossi (born 20 July 1964) is an Italian retired professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. Franklin Edmundo Rijkaard (; born 30 September 1962) is a Dutch former footballer and former manager who played as a defensive midfielder. Regarded as one of the greatest midfielders in footballing history, Rijkaard was described by British broadsheet ''The Daily Telegraph'' as having been "a stylish player of faultless pedigree".
