1985 Curaçao Grand Prix
The 1985 Curaçao Grand Prix was a one-off Formula 3000 race held in Willemstad, Curaçao on 13 October 1985. The race was organised by the Sports Car Club of America, SCCA. The Grand Prix was run in the streets of the city. As the track was very slippery the cars initially used wet weather tires. During the race the cars ran on qualifier tires. John Nielsen (racing driver), John Nielsen won the 58 lap race with a 21-second lead over Ivan Capelli. Willemstad ( ; ; ; ) is the capital city, capital and largest city of Curaçao, an island in the southern Caribbean Sea that is a Countries of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, constituent country of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. Onyx Grand Prix is a former Formula One constructor from Britain that competed in the and Formula One seasons. The team participated in 26 World Championship Grands Prix (25 starts) and scored six World Constructors' Championship points. Slim Borgudd
Karl Edvard Tommy "Slim" Borgudd (; 25 November 1946 – 23 February 2023) was a Swedish musician and Formula One driver who raced for the ATS and Tyrrell teams. Biography Borgudd was born in Borgholm, Öland, on 25 November 1946. His first career was as a drummer, mainly in jazz-rock, most notably for short-lived groups Lea Riders Group, Made In Sweden and Solar Plexus. He also worked with Björn Ulvaeus's group the Hootenanny Singers. Borgudd began racing on and off in the mid-1960s with a Lotus Formula Ford car, but his racing career became more serious only in 1972, after taking five wins in five sports car racing club events. Borgudd raced a Hillman Imp and a Volvo 122 in the Swedish Touring Car Championship from 1972 to 1975, finishing as runner-up in 1972, as well as racing in the Scandinavian Formula Ford series, which he won in 1973. Fulvio Ballabio (born 8 October 1954) is a Auto racing, race car driver born in Milan, Italy. He raced in Formula Two in 1983, in International Formula 3000, Formula 3000 in 1986 and 6 starts in Champ Car, CART from 1987 to 1989 for Dick Simon Racing and Dale Coyne Racing. Lamberto Leoni (born 24 May 1953) is a former racing driver from Italy. He participated in five Formula One World Championship Grands Prix, failing to qualify for three of them. He scored no championship points. Career After racing in Italian Formula 3, Leoni graduated to European Formula 2 in 1976. He had a promising start, finishing third in his first race with Massimo Ciccozzi's team Scuderia del Passatore at Autódromo do Estoril. He then raced for Giancarlo Minardi's Scuderia Everest, with mixed results. His best result came the following season, when he won at Misano with a car fielded by Scuderia Trivellato.
