1970–71 Divizia B
The 1970–71 Divizia B was the 31st season of the second tier of the Romanian football league system. The format has been maintained to two series, each of them having 16 teams. At the end of the season the winners of the series promoted to Divizia A and the last two places from each series relegated to Divizia C. Liga II
The Liga 2, most commonly spelled as Liga II, is the second level of the Romanian football league system. The league changed its name from Divizia B just before the start of the 2006–07 Liga II, 2006–07 football season. It is currently Sponsor (commercial), sponsored by Casa Pariurilor, a betting company under the official name Liga 2 Casa Pariurilor. Format Since its inception in 1934, Liga II has had between 2 and 9 parallel divisions, with clubs divided based on geographic regions. But since the 2016–17 Liga II, 2016-17 Liga II, it changed to one group of 20 teams. Currently, the top six teams goes in the promotion play-off, in which the top 2 teams get promoted and the next 2 play a promotion play-off against teams from Liga I. FCM Târgoviște
Fotbal Club Municipal Târgoviște (), commonly known as FCM Târgoviște, was a Romanian football team based in Târgoviște, Dâmbovița County, founded in 1948 and disbanded in 2018. Known under several names throughout its history — ''Metalul (1948–1954 and 1957–1972), Flacăra (1955), Energia (1956), CS Târgoviște (1972–1994), Oțelul (1994–1996), and Chindia (1996–2003)'' — the club made nine appearances in Divizia A, the top flight of the Romanian football, between 1961 and 1998, achieving its best result in the 1978–79 season with a 7th-place finish. The fate of the team became troubled in the 2010s; firstly, Târgoviște was dissolved in 2015, then refounded and enrolled in the sixth division the following year. FC Sportul Studențesc București
FC Sportul Studențesc, commonly referred to as Sportul, was a Romanian professional football club based in Bucharest, that last played at senior level in the Liga IV. Founded in 1916, Sportul Studențesc was one of the oldest Romanian clubs still active. The club's best European performance came in the 1979–80 Balkans Cup, when it won the trophy, defeating Yugoslav side NK Rijeka in the final. The club made it to the Balkans Cup final on one other occasion, in 1976, when it lost to another Yugoslav side, Dinamo Zagreb. In the UEFA Cup, Sportul Studențesc's most notable performance came in the 1987–88 season, when the club reached the Third Round. FCM Dunărea Galați
Dunărea Galați was a Romanian professional football club from Galați, Galați County, south-east Romania, founded in 1970. The club was dissolved in 2014. History The club was founded in 1970, took the place of Oțelul Galați in Divizia B and has played for 5 seasons in the Liga I. For a brief period, it was Galați's main team, but after the rise of Oțelul in the 1980s, it is seen only in the Liga II and the Liga III. They were supposed to be relegated to Liga III at the end of the 2007–08 season, but they managed to maintain their second league position due to the withdrawal of FCM Câmpina. Asociația Clubul Sportiv Suporter Club Oțelul Galați (), commonly known as Oțelul Galați or simply as Oțelul, is a Romanian Association football, football club based in the city of Galați, Galați County, which competes in the Liga I. Founded in 1964 as the team of the Galați steel works, Oțelul spent the first two decades of its existence in the Romanian football league system, lower leagues. Asociaţia Club Sportiv FC Corvinul Hunedoara 1921 (), commonly known as Corvinul Hunedoara or simply Corvinul, is a Romanian professional Football (soccer), football club based in the city of Hunedoara, Hunedoara County, that competes in the Liga II. Founded in 1921 as ''Fero Sport Hunedoara'', the club bore various names over time, but stuck with Corvinul, inspired by the history of the Hunyadi family () and the local Corvin Castle. Under this name, the team achieved its best performances during the 1980s, when it was a constant appearance in the Liga I, top flight. Between 1979 and 1982, Corvinul was coached by Mircea Lucescu, who would go on to become one of the most successful Romanian managers. FC Drobeta-Turnu Severin was a Romanian professional football club from Drobeta-Turnu Severin, Mehedinți County, Romania, founded in 1958 and dissolved in 2011. History ''FC Drobeta-Turnu Severin'' was never able to reach the Liga I, playing all of its history in the Liga II and the Liga III. In ''1958'', Drobeta Turnu Severin was founded, after it took the place of CFR Turnu Severin in the Divizia C. In 1959 the club changes its name to Metalul Turnu Severin. In ''1976'', after ''Metalul'' relegated from the Divizia C to the Divizia D, at the end of the 1974–75 season, it merged with ''Meva'' and formed a new club named CSM Drobeta-Turnu Severin. In 1985 it changes its name to AS Drobeta-Turnu Severin and in 1990 to FC Drobeta-Turnu Severin.
