1935 Cupa României Final
The 1935 Cupa României Final was the second final of Romania's most prestigious football cup competition. It was disputed between Ripensia Timişoara and CFR București, and was won by CFR București after a game with 11 goals in extra time. It was the first cup trophy won by the feroviar team. 1934–35 Cupa României
The 1934–35 Cupa României was the second season in the history of Romania's most prestigious Association football, football Single-elimination tournament, cup competition. The surprise of the tournament was ILSA Timișoara, a team from Divizia B which reached the semifinals. Rudolf Wetzer was Player-coach, player-manager for ILSA in the Cup. The trophy was claimed by CFR București who defeated holders Ripensia Timișoara after extra time. Format The competition is an annual Single-elimination tournament, knockout tournament with pairings for each round drawn at random. There are no seeds for the draw. The draw also determines which teams will play at home. Each tie is played as a single leg. If a match is drawn after 90 minutes, the game goes in Overtime (sports), extra time, and if the scored is still tight after 120 minutes, there a Replay (sports), replay will be played, usually at the ground of the team who were away for the first game. Vasile Deheleanu
Vasile Deheleanu (12 August 1910 – 30 April 2003) was a Romanian footballer who played in midfield and coach. Club career Vasile Deheleanu was born on 12 August 1910 in Temesvár, Austria-Hungary, growing up in the Mehala neighborhood. He started playing junior level football at local club, Unirea. In 1925 he moved to neighboring club, Politehnica where he met Tony Cargnelli which he considered the best coach of his career. In 1928 he went to play for România Cluj where in his first season, the team reached the final of the national league where they were defeated with 3–2 by Venus București. In 1931 he went to play for one season at UD Reșița with whom he reached another championship final which was lost with 3–0 in front of Venus București. Balázs Hoksary (born 22 November 1902 – 13 February 1988) was a Romanian football defender and manager. Rudolf Bürger
Rudolf Bürger (31 October 1908 – 20 January 1980) was a Romanian international footballer and coach of German ethnicity. He is one of a few men who participated in each of the three pre-World War II FIFA World Cups. At club level, he played mostly for Ripensia Timișoara with whom he won several trophies. Club career Bürger was born on 31 October 1908 in Temesvár, Austria-Hungary (now Romania), growing up and starting to play football as a child in the Elisabetin neighborhood. In 1920 he started to play junior level football at local club, ESE. Afterwards he moved to CS Tricolor, then he went at ETC, arriving in 1924 at Chinezul Timișoara. In the 1926–27 season he played one league game for Chinezul as the team won the title. William Zombory
Vilmos Zombori (11 January 1906 – 17 January 1993) was a Romanian footballer who played as a goalkeeper. He was also known as William Zombory. Club career Vilmos Zombori was born on 11 January 1906 in Temesvár, Austria-Hungary (now Romania), growing up in a family in which he had eight brothers. He started to play junior level football in 1919 at Chinezul Timișoara, starting his senior career in 1925 in the regional league at Sparta CFR Timișoara. After one year he went back at Chinezul, being brought as a replacement for Adalbert Ritter, winning the 1926–27 title, being used by coaches Frontz Dőme and Jenő Konrád in 11 games. In 1930, Zombori went at Ripensia Timișoara, winning the 1932–33 title, being the first-choice goalkeeper, coach Konrád using him in 11 games in which he scored one goal, including playing in the final with Universitatea Cluj. Alexandru Cuedan
Alexandru Cuedan (26 September 1910 in Austria-Hungary (now Romania) – 9 May 1976) was a Romanian footballer who played as a defender. Biography At club level, he played in Liga I for Rapid București, one of many clubs in the Romanian capital. With the Romania national football team, he was picked by joint coaches Josef Uridil and Costel Rădulescu to take part in the 1934 World Cup in Italy.
