1934–35 Cupa României
The 1934–35 Cupa României was the second season in the history of Romania's most prestigious Association football, football Single-elimination tournament, cup competition. The surprise of the tournament was ILSA Timișoara, a team from Divizia B which reached the semifinals. Rudolf Wetzer was Player-coach, player-manager for ILSA in the Cup. The trophy was claimed by CFR București who defeated holders Ripensia Timișoara after extra time. Format The competition is an annual Single-elimination tournament, knockout tournament with pairings for each round drawn at random. There are no seeds for the draw. The draw also determines which teams will play at home. Each tie is played as a single leg. If a match is drawn after 90 minutes, the game goes in Overtime (sports), extra time, and if the scored is still tight after 120 minutes, there a Replay (sports), replay will be played, usually at the ground of the team who were away for the first game. The Football Association Challenge Cup, more commonly known as the FA Cup, is an annual Single-elimination tournament, knockout association football, football competition in domestic Football in England, English football. First played during the 1871–72 FA Cup, 1871–72 season, it is the list of oldest football competitions, oldest national football competition in the world. It is organised by and named after the Football Association (the FA). A concurrent Women's FA Cup has been held since 1970. The competition is open to all eligible football club (association football), clubs down to level 9 of the English football league system, with level 10 clubs acting as stand-ins in the event of non-entries from above. Club Sportiv Municipal Lugoj, commonly known as CSM Lugoj, or simply as Lugoj, is a Romanian football club from Lugoj, Timiș County, Romania. The club was named in the past, ''Vulturii Textila'', after a textile company in the city of Lugoj. CSM Lugoj was founded under the name ''Vulturii Lugoj'' in 1920. The club is currently playing in Liga III, the third tier of the Romanian football league system. History The club was promoted in 1934 to the newly formed Divizia B (The League II). It had previously only played in the regional championship of Banat where it had fared well since its founding. Unirea Tricolor București was a Romanian football (soccer), football football team, club from Bucharest, south-east Romania, founded in 1914 as Tricolor București. It was one of the most famous inter-war clubs in Romania. History Tricolor București Tricolor, first named Teiul, was set up in 1914, in the district of Obor, by some high-school students. AMEF Arad
Vagonul Arad was a football club based in Arad, Romania. It was founded in 1911 and it soon became one of the best teams from Arad. It was affiliated to Astra Arad rail equipment manufacturing company. It was dissolved in 2006. History 1911–1948 The club was formed in Arad in 1911 when ''AMEF'' ''(Asociația Muncitorilor pentru Educație Fizică)'' () merged with ''Clubul Sportiv al Fabricii De Vagoane'' (Rail Cars Factory Sports Club), keeping the first ones name until 1948. Crișana Oradea was a association football, football club based in Oradea, Romania. It was founded in 1929 and dissolved in 1954. History The club was founded in 1929. CA Timișoara
Club Atletic Timișoara, known as CA Timișoara or simply CAT, was a football club from Timișoara. The team was founded in 1902 under the name Temesvári Football Club, later becoming Temesvári Atletikai Club, when the city was part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. After World War I, it competed under the name CA Timișoara in the leagues of the Kingdom of Romania. Phoenix Baia Mare was a football club based in Baia Mare, Romania. It was founded in 1932 and dissolved in 2000. The club of the Chemical Factory from Baia Mare, was founded in 1932 and the first leaders were: Petru Wider (Chairman), Şt. Vadász (Sports Director) and Al. Cireşa (General Secretary). Dacia (, ; ) was the land inhabited by the Dacians, its core in Transylvania, stretching to the Danube in the south, the Black Sea in the east, and the Tisza in the west.
