The reason for this was that rivals IFK Malmö had learned that Malmö FF had given their players watches for Christmas, which was a violation of the amateur rules of the time. Idrottsföreningen Kamraterna Göteborg (officially IFK Göteborg Fotboll), commonly known as IFK Göteborg, IFK (especially locally) or Blåvitt, is a Swedish professional Football team, football club based in Gothenburg. Sandvikens IF is a Swedish football club located in Sandviken. The club, formed 6 June 1918, has played 21 seasons in the highest Swedish league, but is in the second highest Swedish league, Superettan. Sandvikens IF are affiliated to the Gestriklands Fotbollförbund. As Sandviken is an industrial community, dominated by the steel and metal corporation Sandvik, the team has been much influenced by this.
