İstanbul Football League
The Istanbul Football League () was founded as a regional association football, football league under the name Constantinople Football Association League by James La Fontaine and Henry Pears in Istanbul, the capital of the former Ottoman Empire, in 1904. The Istanbul League was the first football organization ever in the Ottoman Empire and later Turkey. In the inaugural 1904–05 season the matches between the four teams, Moda F.C., Moda FC, HMS Imogene F.C., HMS Imogene, Elpis F.C., Elpis FC, and Cadi-Keuy F.C., Cadi-Keuy FC were played on Sundays, leading to the name of the league, Istanbul Sunday League. Henry Pears, an Englishman and one of the three founders, promised to ultimately award the shield to the club with the most championships won during the initial 10 years. Altınordu İdman Yurdu
Altınordu İdman Yurdu were a Turkish sports club based in Istanbul, Turkey. Founded in 1909 under the name Progres FC, the football department of the club became champions in the Istanbul Football League in the 1916–17 and 1917–18 seasons. The club colours were red and navy blue. History Altınordu İdman Yurdu were founded by Aydınoğlu Raşit Bey under the name Progres FC in 1909 by footballers who left Galatasaray. In 1914, Talat Pasha became the club president and the team became the football club of the Committee of Union and Progress party. Also in 1914, the club changed their name to Altınordu İdman Yurdu and soon gained considerable success in the Istanbul Football League. They eventually dissolved in 1926. Küçükçekmece (; meaning “small-drawer”, from much earlier ''Rhegion'' (Greek: Ρήγιον) and ''Küçükçökmece as “little breakdown''" or “''little depression''”, in more ancient times just as Bathonea), is a municipality and district of Istanbul Province, Turkey. Its area is 44 km2, and its population was 326,452 in 2022. It is 23 kilometers west of the city centre and lies next to Lake Küçükçekmece. Üsküdar () is a municipality and district of Istanbul Province, Turkey. Its area is 35 km2, and its population is 524,452 (2022). It is a large and densely populated district on the Anatolian (Asian) shore of the Bosphorus. It is bordered to the north by Beykoz, to the east by Ümraniye, to the southeast by Ataşehir and to the south by Kadıköy; with Karaköy, Kabataş, Beşiktaş, and the historic Sarayburnu quarter of Fatih facing it on the opposite shore to the west.
