Mehmet ÅžimÅŸek (born 1 January 1967) is a Turkish politician and economist, who has been serving as the List of Finance Ministers of Turkey, Minister of Treasury and Finance since 4 June 2023. He was the Deputy Prime Minister of Turkey from 24 November 2015 until the office's abolition on 9 July 2018. TAI Şimşek is a turbojet-powered radio-controlled high-speed target drone designed, developed and built by Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) between 2009 and 2012 for the needs of the Turkish Armed Forces. Şimşek is the Turkish word for "lightning". Overview Development started in 2009, and a prototype was presented to the public at the International Defence Industry Fair the same year. Emre Şimşek (born June 14, 1987) is an Olympian Turkish skier competing in the alpine disciplines. The tall athlete is coached by his father İsmail Şimşek. Early life Emre Şimşek was born in Bayburt, Turkey on June 14, 1987. After finishing the high school at his hometown in 2005, he studied physical education and sports in the Kazım Karabekir Faculty of Education at Atatürk University in Erzurum. He graduated with a Bachelor's degree in 2009. Şimşek obtained a Master's degree in sports medicine in 2012. Currently, he is a lecturer at Sports College of Erciyes University in Kayseri. Hikmet Şimşek (1924, Pervari – 12 October 2001, Ankara) was a Turkish people, Turkish conductor of Western classical music. Life His father was an officer. He was born in Pervari (of Siirt Province). But the family soon moved to Konya. In 1936, he attended to military junior high school. He continued his military training in Ankara.
