İzmirspor is а Turkish football club based in İzmir, Turkey. History The club was founded as ''Altın Ay'' on 25 July 1923. Altın Ay merged with rivals ''Sakarya'' and formed İzmirspor on 28 November 1930. They are currently playing in the Turkish Regional Amateur League. The club's greatest achievement was to become runner-up in the former Turkish Football Championship in 1933. İzmirspor also has won the İzmir Football League five times. TFF Second League
The TFF 2. Lig (), currently referred to as Nesine 2. Lig for sponsorship reasons, is the third level in the Turkish football league system. It was founded in the 2001–02 season with the name of ''Turkish Second League Category B'' as a continuation of the then second level division. In the 2005–06 season, the name of the league was changed to ''Lig B''. Since the 2007–08 season, the league's current name is used along with sponsor names. Metin Oktay
Metin Oktay (2 February 1936 – 13 September 1991) nicknamed the Crownless King () by Galatasaray S.K. (football team), Galatasaray fans, was a Turkish people, Turkish association football, footballer and one of the most successful goal scorers in Turkey. Early life Metin Oktay was born in Karşıyaka, İzmir, on 2 February 1936. His father was an Albanian factory worker and his mother a Turkish homemaker. Personal life Metin Oktay married Servet Kardicali on 12 May 1965, in Istanbul. On 9 February 1965, the couple had a daughter who was named by Metin Oktay as "Zeynep". She died the same day she was born. In 1979, Metin and Servet Oktay had a granddaughter from their son Rifat Halil Pala who was named Zeynep Pala. The TFF 1. Lig (), currently referred to as Trendyol 1. Lig for sponsorship reasons, is the second level of the Turkish football league system. The league was founded in 2001 as the ''Turkish Second League Category A'' after the reorganization of the Second Football League, which was the second level of the Turkish league system between 1963 and 2001. Turkish Regional Amateur League
The Turkish Regional Amateur League () is the fifth tier of the Turkish football league system. The tier comprises a number (usually 10-13, varies by season) of groups across Turkey, each consisting of teams grouped according to the regions in which they are based. Every season, 12 teams are promoted to the TFF Third League while the bottom two teams of each group are relegated to the Super Amateur Leagues of their respective provinces. League status The league contains 153 teams which participate in 10 groups: 2 of these groups contain 14 teams, 4 of these groups contain 15 teams, 3 of these groups contain 16 teams and one group contains 17 teams. The Süper Lig (, ''Super League''), also known as Trendyol Süper Lig for sponsorship reasons, is a professional association football league in Turkey and the highest level of the Turkish football league system.
