Southeast (Vietnam)
Đông Nam Bộ (literally "Southeast region") is a region in Southern Vietnam. This region includes one municipality, Ho Chi Minh City; and five provinces: Đồng Nai, Bình Dương, Bà Rịa–Vũng Tàu province, Bình Phước and Tây Ninh. Bà Rịa–Vũng Tàu Province
Bà Rịa–Vũng Tàu (abbreviated BRVT) was formerly a province of Vietnam. It was located on the coast of the country's Southeast region. It bordered Đồng Nai to the north, Bình Thuận to the northeast and Ho Chi Minh City metropolitan area to the southwest. It also included the Côn Đảo islands, located some distance off Vietnam's southeastern coast. From 1954 to 1976, under South Vietnam, the province was called Phước Tuy. Võ Thị Sáu
Võ Thị Sáu (1933 – 23 January 1952) was a teenager who fought as a guerrilla during the First Indochina War participating in the resistance movement against the French colonists for Vietnam’s independence. She carried out multiple assassination attempts targeting French officers and Pro-French Vietnamese individuals collaborating with the colonial government in Southern Vietnam at the time. She was captured, tried, convicted, and executed by the French in 1952, becoming the first woman to be executed at Côn Đảo Prison. Today in Vietnam she is considered a symbolic national revolutionary martyr and heroine. The Vietnamese government posthumously awarded her the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces in 1993. Long Tân, Bà Rịa–Vũng Tàu
Long Tân is a commune (xã) and village in Đất Đỏ District, Bà Rịa–Vũng Tàu province, Vietnam, at . When it was part of South Vietnam, it was in Phước Tuy province. It is renowned for its rubber plantations, and hosts a very small population of roughly 1,200 people. The village, along with nearby Long Phước, Bà Rịa-Vũng Tàu, was cleared to make an exclusion zone around the Nui Dat Australian base near Bà Rịa.
