Český Dřevák
Český dřevák was a group of Czech photographers in 2000–2008. Its members were not connected by a common manifesto, but by the technical way of creating photographs. All of them worked with wooden Large format (photography), large-format cameras (using negative formats such as 13 × 18 – 24 × 30 cm) and their resulting photographs were usually contact prints. History The group was founded by photographers Karel Kuklík, Jan Reich, Jaroslav Beneš (photographer), Jaroslav Beneš and Bohumír Prokůpek in 2000. In 2002 they were joined by Tomáš Rasl and in 2003 by Petr Helbich. Paris Photo
Paris Photo is an annual international art fair dedicated to photography. It was founded in 1997, and is held in November at the Grand Palais exhibition hall and museum complex, located at the Champs-Élysées in the 8th arrondissement in Paris. The fair consists of photo-based artwork alongside a public programme of exhibitions, prizes, art signings and talks. The website states that it includes 6 sectors, including a 'digital' sector and a 'book' sector. The 2025 edition takes place 13 to 16 November 2025. History Founded in 1997, Paris Photo presented 53 galleries for its first edition at the Carrousel du Louvre. The Fair was acquired by Reed expositions France in 2001 and relocated to the Grand Palais in 2011. In 2006, public attendance was 40,000. Mělník
Mělník (; ) is a town in the Central Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 20,000 inhabitants. South Bohemian Region
The South Bohemian Region () is an administrative unit (''Regions of the Czech Republic, kraj'') of the Czech Republic, located mostly in the southern part of its historical land of Bohemia, with a small part in southwestern Moravia. Vranov nad Dyjí (until 1986 Vranov; ) is a market town in Znojmo District in the South Moravian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 800 inhabitants. It is known as a summer resort.
