Ümit Özdağ
Ümit Özdağ (; born 3 March 1961, Tokyo) is a Turkish politician and the current leader of the Victory Party. He was deputy leader of the far-right Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) from November 2015 to February 2016. He announced his candidacy for the party leadership for the 8th MHP Ordinary Congress in 2006, but had his membership revoked two days later. After returning to the party following a successful lawsuit, he again announced his candidacy for the MHP leadership in April 2016 for the 2016 Nationalist Movement Party Extraordinary Congress, which was eventually called off after numerous legal disputes. He had his party membership revoked by the MHP High Disciplinary Board on 15 November 2016 joined the Good Party. In April 2019, he resigned from party's executive board but announced that he will continue to be in the party and continue his party-related activities. Ümit Şamiloğlu
Ümit Şamiloğlu (born 29 September 1980) is a retired Turkish artistic gymnast. He competed in the horizontal bar event and has won numerous gold medals in international competition. He is said to be the "oldest gymnast" at competitions in which he takes part. He is the creator of a special grip registered by the International Gymnastics Federation into the Code of Points as the "Şamiloğlu" grip. Ahmet Ümit (born September 30, 1960) is a Turkish author and poet. He is best known for his crime novels. Early years Ahmet Ümit was born in Gaziantep, in south-central Turkey, in 1960. His father was a kilim merchant and his mother a tailor. He was the youngest of the seven siblings. He finished his primary and middle school in his hometown. Ümit attended the Atatürk High School, however, finished it in Ergani, Diyarbakır. In 1979, he went to Istanbul to study Public Administration at Marmara University. He met his future wife Vildan during the university years, and married in 1981. They have a daughter Gül. Ümit became a member of a leftist organization, which struggled against the military regime in Turkey. Tarık Ümit
Tarık Ümit (22 April 1947 in Düzce – 3 March 1995 in Marmaris) was a Turkish intelligence official in the National Intelligence Organization (MIT). He was kidnapped and murdered in March 1995. Career After his father died, Ümit went to live in Germany to live with his uncle, returning to Turkey in 1968. He joined MIT in 1978, and in the interim is alleged to have associated with mob boss Dündar Kılıç. Ümit Aydın Davala (born 30 July 1973) is a Turkish Association football, football coach and former player. During his stint at Galatasaray S.K. Ümit Karan (born 1 October 1976) is a Turkish football manager and former player who is currently the manager of Menemenspor. Ümit Korkmaz (; born 17 September 1985) is a retired Austrian footballer who played as a winger. He is currently the manager of Ostbahn XI. Ümit Haluk Bayülken (7 July 1921 – 26 April 2007) was a Turkish diplomat, ambassador, politician, former Minister of Foreign Affairs and Minister of National Defense of Turkey. Personal life Ümit Haluk Bayülken was born in Constantinople, Ottoman Empire on 7 July 1921. After finishing Haydarpaşa High School, Istanbul in 1939, he was educated in the Faculty of Political Science of Ankara University graduating as the first in class in 1943. Ümit Yaşar Oğuzcan (22 August 1926 – 4 November 1984) was a Turkish poet. Life He was born on 22 August 1926 in Tarsus. He studied in Konya and Eskişehir. He served as an accountant in the Niğde branch office and then in the general directorate of İş Bankası (bank) in Ankara. He retired in 1977 while he was the vice public relations director of the bank. After retirement, he founded an art gallery in Istanbul. He died on 4 November 1984. Ümit Kaftancıoğlu (1935 – 11 April 1980) was a Turkish TV producer, writer and columnist of the newspaper ''Cumhuriyet''.
