The Mobile Statbank from Statistics Denmark on the road between Viborg, Denmark, Viborg and Randers. To distinguish it from other places in Denmark, it is referred to as ''Ørum Sønderlyng'' or sometimes ''Ørum Tjele''. Ørum was the former municipal seat for Tjele Municipality. In 2007, it was merged with other municipalities into Viborg Municipality.

Brønderslev Municipality
Brønderslev Municipality () is a municipality ( Danish, '' kommune'') in North Jutland Region in Denmark. It covers an area of 630 km2 and has a total population of 36,706 (2025). The municipal council is located in the town of Brønderslev. The municipality was created as the result of ''2007 Kommunalreformen'', and consists of the former municipalities of Brønderslev and Dronninglund. The resulting municipality was originally named Brønderslev-Dronninglund Municipality (Danish: ''Brønderslev-Dronninglund Kommune''), the longest name of a municipality in Denmark with 32 characters. At their first meeting, the municipal council agreed to shorten the name to its current form: Brønderslev Municipality. Norddjurs Municipality () is a municipality (Danish language, Danish, ''Commune (subnational entity), kommune'') in Region Midtjylland in Denmark. It covers an area of 721.2 km² and has a population of 36,658 (1. January 2025). Ørum Church (Norddjurs Municipality)
Ørum Church (Danish: ''Ørum Kirke'') is a church in the village of Ørum Djurs in Norddjurs Municipality. The church was established in the 12th century and operates as the central church in Ørum Sogn within the Diocese of Aarhus. Ørum Sogn has approximately 1,600 members within the Church of Denmark. History The church began construction in the 12th century and consists of a romanesque nave and a gothic choir, sacristy, bell tower, and church porch. In the first half of the 16th century the church was decorated with frescos, but they were greatly damaged and have since been painted over. The tower was partially rebuilt in 1833, at which time the monogram of King Frederick VI of Denmark was embedded in the southside of the tower. Ørum Church (Skive Municipality)
Ørum Church (Danish: ''Ørum Kirke'') is a church in the town of Nørre Ørum in Skive Municipality, Denmark and serves as the seat of Ørum Parish. The church is located on a hill near Hjarbæk Fjord, which had a substantial port during the Middle Ages, but was abandoned after the water level fell. Building The tower was first erected during the 17th century, followed by the altar and pulpit. The altar is decorated with manneristic paintings and an altarpiece painting from 1858 by N. Skov. The choir and nave were built in the romanesque style and have flat beamed ceilings. A stone on the choir's southeast corner is inlaid with a check pattern and its meaning is a subject of debate. The panels and doors in the nave are decorated with pietistic allegorical paintings from the 18th century. Ian Orum (15 August 1955 – 24 June 2020) was an English rugby union, and professional rugby league footballer who played in the 1970s and 1980s. He played representative level rugby union England (Under-23s), and at club level for Bridlington RUFC and Roundhay RFC, as a scrum-half, and club level rugby league for Castleford, as a or . John Orum
John Orum (died 1436?) was an English churchman and academic. He was vice-chancellor of Oxford University, and Archdeacon of Barnstaple from 1400 to 1429. Life Orum was a member of University College, Oxford, and graduated as D.D. In 1406 and 1408 was vice-chancellor or commissary for Richard Courtenay. Orum was made archdeacon of Barnstaple on 1 November 1400, and held this office until 1429; he also appears as archdeacon of Cornwall in 1411. He held the prebend of Holcomb at Wells Cathedral in 1408, and in 410 received a canonry there. On 4 January he received the prebend of Fridaythorpe, York Cathedral, which preferment he had vacated before October 1412. On 21 December he received the church of Road, Somerset, but exchanged it for Ashton Keynes, Wiltshire, on 18 April 1414. In February 1429 Orum became chancellor of the diocese of Exeter. Julia Anna Orum
Julia A. Orum (October 28, 1843 – January 6, 1904) was an American educator, lecturer, and author. She was principal of the Philadelphia School of Elocution and of the Mountain Lake Park Summer School of Elocution. She was a successful Shakespearian reader and lecturer. Early life and education Julia Anna Orum was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, October 28, 1843. Her parents were Charles L. and Keturah Orum. One of her maternal ancestors, Leonard Keyser, was burned at the stake for his faith, in 1527. Another of that stanch Holland family, Dirck Keyser, settled in Germantown, Pennsylvania, in 1688, and helped to establish a school there under Francis David Pastorius. One of her paternal ancestors, Bartholomew Longstreth, of Yorkshire, England, was disinherited for becoming a Quaker and came to the U.S. in 1698.
